Songwriter, producer, guitarist and vocalist with experience working on projects of any nature - whether it's writing lyrics and vocal melodies for a track, helping develop a demo into a full production, or writing a song completely from scratch!

I've been writing and producing my own music and for other artists for several years, specialising in pop and indie-rock genres as well as being comfortable with dance/house, acoustic/country and heavier alt-rock. My speciality as a songwriter comes in writing top-lines, both lyrics and melodies, that perfectly suit the vibe of a song, as well as creating spacious/ambient instrumentals to accompany lyrics of any genre.

I have both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Popular Music and Creative Music Practice with a specialism in songwriting and performance. As a writer, I love to dive straight into a song's emotions to create vivid lyrics that really tell a story.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Who are their influences? If I'm working with a vocalist then I'd usually ask if they have any existing demos/recordings that show their vocal range, style, etc. Is there anything they specifically DON'T want in the song? (I feel as though this is just as important as knowing what they DO want as it helps narrow down stylistic approaches and create a song perfect for that client).
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Arianna Grande - her vocal range is insane!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I started out as the singer & guitarist in an indie-pop/rock band. I now work on anything from alt-pop, pop & dance genres to indie & alt-rock.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Finding strong vocal melodies that perfectly suit the genre/style of the song.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I typically sit with a guitar and notepad to get to grips with initial melodic and lyrical ideas before jumping into Logic to turn it into a full track (vocals, synths, guitars, bass, drums, etc.) and therefore usually work with more electronic/processed sounds that can be created from within the software. I also love collaborative writing, so I'm always up for writing sessions, either physical or digital, if that's how the artist prefers to work.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Working with artists to help turn demos into full productions - writing and/or improving lyrical & melodic ideas, and developing the instrumentation used in the track.
