Da Piiitch: My Lead is a dream and my backings will make you a dreamer (see how my bars hit ? :p). I'm a writer but summing myself up in words, seems kinda counterintuitive. So just check out the SoundCloud link and find out if my voice / verses / productions match your vibe. Hope we'll get to work on something special together.

I'm fast, my intentions are pure.
I love to work with my heart and give it my all, it's the only way I work.

I sing and write: Dance, Pop, Rap, RnB, and everything that feels like it has a soul to me (Including loud, and fast stuff, yes).
I play guitar and piano, compose melodies / chords, create beats (LoFi/Rap/Techno/House) with my Roland TR-8s
I record, edit and mix on my MacBook, using my Warm Audio WA 47 (seriously prefer this over many 5K $ + mics), Ableton 11 and a UA interface.
If wished, I can record through fancy outboard stuff.
But I prefer working from home. Especially due to the whole pandemic situation.

I'm currently signed to Sony Publishing.
Wrote stuff and synced it to Mercedes
Played at the Champions League finals
Did TV blah blah, can we stop this now ? uff.. so boring

I worked with many artists, producers and have a pretty big network of pretty cool professionals.
So if I'm not the right guy for the job, I might know who could be.
Yeah, btw, check my IG, write me a DM, let's chat :) [@JamalDilmen]

Interview with Jamal Dilmen

  1. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  2. A: Be as clear about what you want as possible. Every detail counts. The mood You're currently in, the vibes you had when you started working on your project. The room temperature that... okay.. thats a bit toooo much. Seriously though, the more clarity you can provide, the better your product is going to get.

  3. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  4. A: Only 5 ? Are cables included ?

  5. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  6. A: Basically born on stage. Pops took me to gigs with him, was singing jazzy stuff only til my early teens. Then MJ, Prince and Stevie joined my Avengers Team Been playing live shows + writing for a long time until I burned out and decided to focus on original material. Looking for my own sound while digging through every style of music I could find. That was way more than a couple years ago and I've been doing sessions / recordings as a main profession ever since. Never looked back. Only to show my gratitude. Now I feel like I've found my essence and am ready to help other creatives find theirs.

  7. Q: How would you describe your style?

  8. A: I like to be heard. So I enjoy working on productions that have space. Space to think and write in.

  9. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  10. A: Timbaland, cause he seems like a really cool uncle type of guy.

  11. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  12. A: Use your ears more and screen less. Lern something new everyday.

  13. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  14. A: ATM Mainly Dance and Pop.

  15. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  16. A: Empathy

  17. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  18. A: THE SAUCE Seriously though, most of the time I bring clarity. The top-line is there already, sitting somewhere between your synths and Hi-Hat groves. The lyrics / your stories are waiting to be told. I'm honestly just there to make it flow and help you get there. Being an artist, writing for, producing other artists helps me to take myself out of the equation. Our collab is eventually gonna be more about you. You have all these ideas and wishes, and I'd love to help you make em real.

  19. Q: What's your typical work process?

  20. A: You send it, it clicks, I record. You send it, it doesn't click I'll work something out and record then. Usually don't need more than the first listen to come up with ideas. Then I stick to that and get more precise, rethink individual lines etc. until everyone is happy. I'm really not one to go over things a thousand times. However, I can totally get lost in a tiny detail as well and spend an eternity EQing that annoying resonance at 4.64 k. But usually what feels right intuitively, is right.

  21. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  22. A: Write top-lines for "musically finished" productions, record guides, sing vocal guides and backings.
