Your song deserves a great production and mix. With 20 years as a musician and access to any virtual instrument, I would be happy to use that experience to your advantage and lay down a great, full arrangement to make the song demand attention, while mixing it down into pure sonic candy.
Working with you to actualize the vision of your song. I am here to produce the best sounding tracks I possibly can and you want the best as well. Together we will accomplish this. When it's done, the song will make a clear statement. Just like you intended.
For the process to work, all I need from you is a vocal. Doesn't even have to be perfect yet. I will listen to your demo or scratch and we will discuss what the song is saying, and plan out the appropriate instrumentation. We will also discuss any reference tracks there are in order to obtain a clear vision for the song.
Then I take your vocal track, import it into Logic and begin writing out all the instrumentation. I will send bounces on a regular basis so you will always know where it's going and be able to correct course if needed. Then when it's all recorded we jump into vocals. I will send you a full instrumentation bounce to track your vocals with. Once you nail your take, you will then send it back to me and I will put on the finishing touches, and layer any other vocal tracks we need. Then we mix, then we're done. The whole process usually takes only takes a week on average per song.
A Bit About Me:
I've been a full time drummer and part time pianist for over 20 years and have deep knowledge of how to get a song where it wants to be.

Awesome guy to work with very patience
Definitely know what he's doing
Will definitely work with him again!
Nate was stellar to work with on a country music demo! He worked diligently to make sure the demo was just right and how I wanted it! From someone who knows little to nothing about producing, mixing, mastering etc. He was able to interpret exactly what I was asking. We were able to work together and share in the vision so we both could win in the end! If you want someone to produce a demo at a fraction of the price, Nate is your go to guy! I took a chance on him and couldn’t be happier!
Great communication...fast turnaround! Highly recommended!
Nate was so helpful . as a beginner and knowing very little about the process - I was overwhelmed and Nate took me by the hand and helped me create a great song with just a recording off my phone of my voice he masterfully took my little song and cropped and pieced together a piece of art. I am very happy with our collaboration I would recommend Nate for helping any musician or artist with their music I am sure with more knowledge i could be a better client he never complained about my ignorance
Nate did a wonderful job on my song (Middle of this Road) he brought my simple song that I wrote to life.
For one person to do all that work was awesome and i would recommend any songwriter wanting to have thier vision produced. Have it done by him it was worth the money...
It was a pleasure working with Nate on my song "Autumn Leaves". He had a clear understanding from the beginning of what I needed and he communicated ideas clearly. The demo turned out exactly how I imagined it would. It was a great experience working with Nate. He is very professional, patient and supportive. He responded in a timely fashion and delivered quality work quickly. Thank you for bringing my song to life, Nate. I look forward to working with you again in the future.
Nate had me interested first night we met. We were looking for a live drummer for a industrial rock band Demo scissors and completely lucked out finding Nate. He brought enthusiasm, professional attitude, constructive input and sound design elements to our live sets. Later on we went about our separate ways due to other reasons. I would definitely work with him again!
Nate is awesome! Great person to talk to and exchange ideas with.
Really nice dude, you want him in your life.
Sound Better? With Nate you will sound your BEST! I have worked with many producers over the years and Nate is one of a kind. He truly works together with the artist to make sure their vision is represented in the most professional way. His production is radio-quality, layered, and balanced on all devices when he's finished. With Nate's expertise, understanding of vision, and attention to detail, your songs will finally come to life! Want to work with an award winning producer? Work with Nate because his shelves will be full of awards in a matter of time.
Nate has good ideas, he’s open to other’s ideas, and he always finds a way to make it work. Have enjoyed making music with him, I’ve been impressed with his work on my own music, and I admire the work he’s done with others.
Interview with Fitch Music Production
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Sentimentality, one of the songs you can hear further down on my profile, was actually the first song I ever produced. It went with me on a two-year journey of learning new skills and technology, and now it's where I want it to be -- Which tells me I'm ready for you.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I typically provide full-on song production, which includes all instrumentation, editing, and mixing and mastering.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes. Just picked up a couple more great clients on here. Adelle and Rochelle.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Composition, writing, and arrangement with a little music theory and a lot of passion.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Three Country tunes, three Pop songs, two Indie Rock songs.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both, depends what vibe we are going for. My setup is all digital, but you can always submit analog tracks for my job.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Q: How fast can you get this done? A: I don't believe in rushing art, but trust that I can be done within a week for a basic production (this depends a lot on the involvement of the client).
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That I'm not actually creating music by composing with virtual instruments. In reality, I write everything myself in midi, and will not use samples unless requested by the client.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is your vision? How do you hear this song in your head? What is your timeline? Are you willing to dedicate the next few days to this song? Because I will be following up with our progress frequently.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Just trust your instincts. You have something to say, so say it with confidence and certainty.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: iMac, solar powered battery, headphones, keyboard, my wife.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I wrote songs for myself as a hobby and was fluent on piano since childhood. As a professional drummer for 20+ years, I was always helping my bandmates develop their songwriting and instrumentation. When I eventually discovered Logic Pro, I moved into Production for myself and others, and everything came together.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Easy going, but intensely passionate. Music is my life.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Really, anyone who has something to say, something to express. I only want to work with artists that can connect with humanity.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Country, Pop, Indie Pop/Rock, Soul
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I can empathize with and help realize your vision. Consider me your catalyst between dreams and reality.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First, I will ask what their vision is (it's the most important part). I request 2-3 reference tracks for direction. When a vocal is received, I will lay down drums and bass, then check if it supports the vision. We move on from there as a team.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Logic Pro X, iMac and Macbook Pro, UA Apollo Twin, Slate microphone, etc. Plug-in suites by East West, Slate Digital, Roland, Izotope, Native Instruments, UVI, the list goes on.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The music part.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: There are no rules. Use your imagination. The universe is the limit.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Phil Collins, Danny Carry, Steve Gad, Jimmy Page, Flea, David Gilmoure, to name a few.
