Endorse MadhurrMadhurr and I worked on different project together. It has always been a pleasure working with him. He is very focused on his work and brings great results. His productions are always in high quality and his songwriting is catchy and innovative. We have been working together on Mainstream Pop, electronic and his performance has always been hugely satisfying. He's my go to producer!
What an incredible talent! Madhurr was super friendly, professional, and easy to work with. My song started off as a simple demo with just guitar and vocals. He helped me with the arrangement of the song and tracked some great guitar and piano work and fully produced and mastered the track. He responds very quickly and makes sure I was fully satisfied with the track. I would definitely use his services again in the future.
Madhurr was incredibly kind and patient with me throughout the whole process of producing my song. He kept all the originality and feel of my song while adding some great flavor to the record. He was willing to make changes as needed and I couldn't be happier with the final product.
Madhurr is a treasure trove of skills and information. Struggling with my sound, Madhurr stepped in and coached me step by step with my song. Excellent feedback within the process helped save hours of time and effort. Some producers will just tell you to do a retake without directly pointing out the issues with the take. Not only has Madhurr provided what was wrong with the track he also had very constructive criticism. I highly recommend him.
Madhurr really knew how to make my vocals sound amazing. From producing to writing, this guy has every tool in the shed!!! Ive worked with Madhurr numerous times and the great thing was bringing in a rough demo and leaving with a song I was happy with sonically and he really helped me take my vocals to a new place. He's your guy hands down!
Having worked with Madhurr on multiple songs now, I can say with certainty that he is a rare talent and an exceptional producer to work with. Madhurr gives you the best quality work with great value with fast turn around and really invests all he can to make you and your music successful.
Interview with Madhurr
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm proud of my recent release 'One Last Touch' featuring McKenna Alicia. I was the singer, songwriter, producer, mixing and mastering engineer in this track. I'm impressed by the way all the vocals came about and cut through the production effortlessly. The song is available in my portfolio on Soundbetter.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm currently working on an independent Pop/EDM project.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes. He goes by the artist name O R I O N. He's a phenomenal music producer, composer & mix-master engineer. He also happened to be my mentor at Icon Collective College of Music.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: A mix of both is ideal. There is a place for analogue for those that can afford it, but until I make a living from the work that I do I’ll be sticking to virtual instruments and digital production mostly.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will treat your track as my own and won't stop till you're satisfied.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The process. I love the journey of taking an initial idea to a full blown out radio ready production or crafting a professional sounding mix.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Turnaround time.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That I am just a producer and a mixing-mastering engineer. I'm a trained vocalist, songwriter and top-line artist as well.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I would like to know the following first: What style are you going for? What purpose do you have in mind for this track? What do you expect of me? Is there anything cool you’re thinking of trying that you haven’t mentioned?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Never be shy to share any crazy ideas you might have! There is never a silly idea. I am very open to budding projects and ideas whilst I am developing my craft.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Guitar, wired headphones, cellphone, and two incredibly powerful power banks.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have a decade long experience in creating music. I started off by working as a producer/composer in a music studio and later decided to formalize my music career by attending the prestigious 'Icon Collective College of Music' in Burbank, Los Angeles. I'm also a trained architect and juggled between studio shifts and classes while I was pursuing architecture. I also have experience in working for sound design companies and scoring music for brands like Ducati, Deckor, Ambassador and Park Lane.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style is very creative, flexible and spontaneous. The song, it’s meaning and the creative process always comes before the production process.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Being a singer-songwriter-producer, my dream would be to work with Gryffin & Ed Sheeran. I love these two artists for their compelling sound writing, production and beautiful vocal melodies.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't spend hours fixing your snare. Honor the first goosebumps from your work, keep the ego on the side and keep the music flowing!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on Indie Pop, Dance-Pop, EDM and Acoustic-Pop.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest ability is to handle both the micro and macro vision for the song with utmost detail. I spend an equal amount of time setting the bigger picture right vs sculpting the finer details. Nothing in the world makes me more happy than delivering a beautiful mix for my client.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a wide variety of contemporary inspiration to songs, in the form of the songwriting, structure, influences, original sampling and more. I stick to fairly basic structures whilst also introducing both familiar and unique aspects of popular and countercultural music.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to approach both production & mixing-mastering using musical references. This ensures treading towards a common vision, clarity of thought, great quality and faster turnaround time.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have the latest version of Logic Pro X & Ableton Live on a Macbook Pro, with a variety of external plugins, samples, presets and instruments to complement Ableton & Logic’s vast library. I have cycled through many instruments to find what I feel is necessary for my setup — I like to keep it as simple as possible. I have a Williams Allegro III Digital 88 Key Piano, Arturia MiniLab Mk2, a bass guitar, an electric guitar, an acoustic guitar, a Focusrite Audio Interface, Shure SM57 dynamic microphone and Rode NT1A Condenser Microphone.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am greatly inspired by the new wave of pop/EDM artists like Gryffin, Cheat Codes, Flume, Skrillex and Diplo. A lot of my inspiration comes from listening to lots of Indie Rock music in my teens, which laid the foundation for my creative processes and sonic preferences.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I focus on creating a wholesome musical experience for my clients, be it music production, sound design or mixing & mastering. I specialize in producing and composing Pop/EDM radio friendly tracks. I'm always curious and give my musical inputs as much. I mix and master in all genres.
