Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise is to be creative, efficient, and timely with whatever I am working on.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: The creative process and understanding how other people think.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Always look for quality. You'll never go wrong with that. It's an investment.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My MacBook Pro with all of my sound libraries, the Arturia KeyLab 61 mkii, headphones, Presonus AudioBox iTwo, an external SSD drive.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been involved in music since I was five years old. I have had formal training in piano since the age of five until I graduated high school. I have a B.A. in Music from Purchase College. I have also been playing music in churches, concert venues, studios as long as I can remember.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Versatile, eclectic, and polished.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: There are so many to choose from! I don't know. As long as I am in the creative process, that's what's important to me.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Some things are meant to be heard, other things are meant to be felt.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: It could be anything. Sometimes it's gospel, other times it can be something orchestral. It depends what's needed.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My hearing/listening and communicating effectively through music.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring creativity, musical proficiency, emotions, and whatever the song needs for it to be great!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I ask what the client is looking for and it doesn't have to be in musical terms. (Sometimes that can be a language barrier.) The more information that is given, the better I can meet the musical need. I email samples of what I am working on with the client so that we can be on the same page. The client is always in the process and I do not move on until everything is the way it should be. I pay attention to details and I give suggestions if needed to add to the music. I just bring the client's musical ideas to life.
