Hi, my name is Kyle Gordon and I'm an arranger and mandolinist.
STRINGS
If you have a song that could use string parts—whether you're want something classic or contemporary—I'd love to work with you and add that extra element of refinement and fullness that comes with great string writing. I deliver premixed stems so that you can drop them right into your session and have them sounding great.
If you feel your project needs a grander more expansive sound I also arrange for the whole orchestra in any style: Pop, Rock, Soul, Classical, Jazz, Country, Folk, Sea Shanties, etc.
MANDOLIN
Mandolin has always been a joy of an instrument and can add an element of excitement to any track. My strongest influences are folk-pop and newgrass artists such as Nickel Creek and Mumford & Sons. I love hearing a song for the first time and working out a mandolin part that'll support and add to the music. I'm always listening for where the space is in a song and try to fill that void with an interesting and effective part.
About me: I attended the University of North Texas where I received my Bachelors and Masters in Jazz Composition. After graduating I was invited to perform my Carnegie Hall debut, performing some of my own music. I have orchestrated for 'The Simpsons' and 'BBC Seven Worlds' I currently work as a full-time arranger and mandolinist. Cheers!
