I’m a music producer, mixing/mastering engineer with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Production & Sound Engineering.

I specialize in Electronic Music and Pop productions, but I work daily across multiple genres, helping artists achieve a clean, competitive and release-ready sound. My goal is simple: make your track sound professional, clear and emotionally impactful on every system — from headphones to streaming platforms.

I studied and worked using industry-standard workflows and DAWs including Pro Tools, Cubase and others. During my training I collaborated and received guidance from established producers and engineers such as Andrea Benassai (Owner of Sonoria Recordings), and professional musicians from the Italian music scene like Steve Luchi (Articolo 31).

I’ve worked with singers and musicians including Lea Key (Armada) , Monika Santucci (Armada-Monstercat), focusing on vocal clarity, balance and translation across playback systems.

Interview with KIKO FERRARA

Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Absolutely yes, my friend Andrea Rullo (Producer and sound engineer), we're great friends and he's a true professional!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog, working in several of the most important studios in Italy thanks to my university, I was able to use top-of-the-range equipment, like SSL Mixing console, feeling the real difference between analog and digital.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to deliver polished, release-ready tracks, communicate clearly throughout the process, and ensure the final result matches your vision.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started producing music at the age of 17, 2 years later I enrolled in a three-year degree course at the Jam Academy in Lucca, Italy. Here I learned many things by perfecting my techniques and discovering new ones, I have dealt with great producers and sound engineers who have taught me many things. now i am 26 years old and i have been doing this job for 9 years.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on electronic music (Trance - Techno - EDM in general), but I have worked several times on different genres, such as Pop, Rock, Metal, Dance, Synthwave, Reggaeton, etc.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I think my passion for this job and my determination!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio setup consists of two pairs of monitors (Yamaha HS5 - Neumann KH 120), Soundcraft Signature 12 MTK mixer, Moog Subsequent 37, Roland JP-8000, Roland TB-03, Roland JU- 06A, Korg M3R, MXR Distortion, Guitars (electric-acoustic), a bass, a Boss ME-80 pedalboard and more.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I draw inspiration from both established electronic producers like Anyma and Armin Van Buuren, as well as skilled mixing/mastering engineers who push creative and technical boundaries in music production.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Ghost productions, beat making, mixing and mastering services.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love to deal with different artists and carry out their projects, it's almost like getting in tune with them.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with anyone, no matter who they are.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Music production is a wonderful job because it allows you to transmit and communicate all your emotions through music, I think the suggestion I want to give is to study at least a basis of harmony and history of music. Before producing any genre you need to know its history to understand its structure, tempos, the most commonly used types of chords and more.
