Hey, I’m Beshen! My many years as an experienced singer-songwriter has allowed me to crack the code of catchiness! Hire me to write or sing your next hook or verse and I promise you will NOT regret it!
Known professionally as Beshen, I am a singer-songwriter and producer from St. Louis, MO who writes music of all genres. Specializing in pop music, I pride myself on having a strong “musical gut” as I call it, which tells me exactly what each song needs, the moment I hear it, to take it to the next level. With a sound explained best as a cross between Justin Bieber and John Mayer, I love helping other artists obtain the most out of their music by bringing their song to life with a quality hook or verse! I am highly trained in the vocal arts due to my time in the Missouri State University Chamber Choir, the same one that performed at the 2020 Presidential Inauguration, as well as my 4 years in the award winning a cappella group, The MSU Beartones! But don’t let the choral background scare you, I am also a voice actor and can change my style/tone to reflect that of well known vocalists like: Justin Bieber, Frank Sinatra, John Legend, Daniel Caesar, Foster the People, and many more! My voice can be heard on various artists’ songs like 3amParadise, Zech Biship, Chief RCG and many more!
I am open to credited collaborations/features but ONLY if the final mix has been approved by myself. Please ask me before using my name on your track.
Message me @beshenmusic on instagram or email me if you'd like a feature on your song OR need a verse/hook written. Thank you!

Interview with Beshen
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Getting to collaborate and work on so many different pieces of music. Bringing the world together one connection at a time through song!
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: “We Can (feat. Beshen)” by 3amParadise. I wrote and sang the first verse and both hooks of this track. As well as mixed the vocals for 3am and myself. His vocals were recorded with iPhone headphones, and I got them to sound near professional studio quality.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise that you will love anything that I write or sing for you.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don’t be afraid to reach out to those like me who may not have these insane credentials under their belts. You just might be pleasantly surprised (in this case you will be every time).
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been writing, singing, and making music since before I can even remember and I never plan to cease.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: It’s tough to describe my style because it fluctuates. But if I had to put words to my main style, you could say that I’m somewhere between Justin Bieber and Post Malone, with some John Mayer thrown into the mix! I have a poppy, mainstream, yet very smooth voice that can range from punk to smooth r&b.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Justin Bieber someday because I feel that our musical style and the way we make music is very similar. Something truly amazing would definitely come out of that experience.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, r&b, hip-hop, pop-rock.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is definitely what I like to call my “musical gut.” I have an innate ability to simply know what should and should not go into a piece of music, based off of what style it is, to make it the most pleasing to the ear. I am also a voice actor and can change my voice to sound like completely different singers!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I can determine what each song needs to take it to the next level, lyrically and melodically, in a way that doesn’t overshadow the main artist (if there is one), but compliments them in the best possible way.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Normally, I’ll listen to the song in question multiple times over, analyzing and picking out the individual pieces that make the song what it is. Then, I start by actually singing and recording the melody that comes to mind in gibberish. Next, I write my lyrics to that gibberish and re-record it all when I have finished. This allows me to go with my “gut” for what is right for the song, melodically, and creates almost a template for the writing!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a completely soundproof room equipped with an Audio Technica AT2035 microphone, a Scarlet 2i2 audio interface, and a 2020 Macbook Pro running the latest version of Logic Pro X.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Justin Bieber, John Mayer, Mac Miller, Charlie Puth, Shawn Mendes, Frank Sinatra, Foster the People, etc.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I write and sing top lines for other artists/producers.
