Hey, I'm Kiem San. Creative and affordable mixing engineer.
Since pimply adolescent I've been an interested and ever-exploring producer, but having fallen in love with the art of mixing I can't seem to find myself anywhere else but behind faders. Being 21 years old, I am a youngling compared to others in the world of engineering, but that does not detract from the quality of my work due to my strong working ethics, passion and talent. Since I've started out mixing professionally I have been part of many great projects already (see previews) and I'm grinding to get better and better everyday.
I would consider mixing hip-hop bangers to be my main expertise as it's the genre I am the most experienced with, not just as a mixer but also as a listener. However, as a music lover in general, I have found myself to be very adaptive when it comes to mixing new genres and I'm always willing to learn. If you're looking for examples of my work outside of the hip-hop genre, you should look into my work as a mixing engineer for an Indie-Pop band called Statue in Japan. (They're cool, you should check them out.)
Due to my age, I might not be as experienced as other professionals on SoundBetter, hence the more affordable rates, but the quality of my production speaks for itself. Please take a listen to some of my previews to verify these claims yourself.
If you made it this far and you're still interested, that's great. Let's get to work!

My go-to mixing engineer. Kiem San has mixed all of my tracks and has never disappointed. He is very professional and doesn´t mind going over the track until it is perfect. 5 stars.
I consider myself lucky to have worked with Kiem San on multiple tracks since I've met him at our university 2 years ago. The process of working with Kiem San is like popping bubble wrap with a deegroller; productive, reliable and extremely satisfying. He always delivers more than you're expecting as he's always on the lookout for creative or technical improvements. He is flexible when faced with complications, but always within the margins of his high-quality standards. Truly talented and driven. Nothing less than 5 stars is appropriate for this banger-machine.
Kiemsan made the beat for Grids en did all the mix and mastering work of the project. He goes for a proffesional sound and makes your track sound like an hit record. He impresses me everytime we work together. If you are a starting artist I would recommend using the services of KiemSan.
I have worked extensively with Kiem San for over a year now and he continues to impress. His style is very clear and crisp and he hears a lot of things artists might miss. I have been trying to improve my skills as a mixer myself and he has been really cool about it lending his ear and experience to help me cultivate the skill. I will continue to work with Kiem San because i greatly appreciate our collaborative process and he meets deadlines with sincerity.
I’ve let this guy mix my EP and to be honest he did an amazing job. He doesn't only mix your track(s) but he also tries to get the full potential out of the track(s). And i rate him 5 stars for that.
Interview with Kiem San
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is your vision for the track? What feeling are you trying to capture?
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style is clean and clear, but I'm trying to adapt to the track.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First I'll listen to the rough mix with any notes the artist provided me. I'll make sure to pay attention to the feeling or vibe the artist is trying to achieve. With that in mind I'll start with my first versions of the mix, making sure volume, panning, EQing and compression are 'right'. After that the sweetening process begins, where the mix gets perfected.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I'm a mixing engineer, always looking to make a good song, a great song.
