I'm a professional singer with 20 years of experience. I've graduated from Complete Vocal Institute in Denmark as a certified CVT vocal coach. If you need rock vocals with attitude, don't hesitate to contact me! I'll be happy to help you reach your artistic goals.
I can recorded vocals following your guide track or I can compose vocal melodies for you!
I've been in multiple original and cover bands over the years including my bands Side Effects and Stone Leaders. With different bands, I've toured Europe several times. Nowadays, I mostly work as an audio engineer and session musician, so if you need male vocals, guitars or mixing for your rock project, send me a message!
I've got a professional setup for recording vocals including a variety of great dynamic and condenser microphones, Neve and API style preamps, 1176 hardware compressor and Mytek converters in a treated room that ensures clean vocal recordings without background noises.
Tell me about your project and how I can help, through the 'Contact' button above.

Ivan did a first class job on my track i sent him. His vocals were just what I wanted..."Rock with attitude". Not only did he do a superb job but he turned around the vocal tracks very quickly. I will be asking Ivan to work on some of my new projects in the future for sure!!

Ivan is a true professional. He understood what I wanted out of the vocals and delivered performances that went beyond my expectations! He communicates well, responds to questions quickly, and, most importantly, definitely has talent and the experience to deliver the hard rock vocals you're looking for. Highly recommended!

Ivan did a great job delivering the rock vocals with attitude I needed to take the song to the next level! He took and followed direction well, and was willing to do revisions when requested, and his turn around was fast! Nice work!
Interview with Ivan Mihaljevic
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Good analog front end into a really good analog to digital converter! Obviously these days noone is sending tape through mail, so you will need a good converter to digitize your analog recordings. I usually record my vocals with good mic preamps (Neve or API style) with analog EQ and 1176 hardware compressor before hitting the converter.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Classic rock meets heavy metal meets grunge!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Any kind of rock or classic metal!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I can manipulate my voice in many different directions! As an authorized CVT vocal coach I've learned to control various nuances of my voice such as changing my sound color (darkening or lightening my voice) in different ways and applying rough vocal effects - not to be confused with post-production effects. I'm talking about different ways of making my voice sound gritty and gnarly if the song asks for it!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Whatever I feel the song needs based on my extensive experience in music production.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I will typically receive 3 files: your song without vocals, your song with demo vocals showing what you want me to record (optional as you can also hire me to write the vocal melody for you), lyrics and instructions on what you want me to do with the track. I will try to record it within 5-7 days and send back the raw files. Most of my clients are usually happy with the first version, but in case you want anything changed, I offer additional 2 revisions free of charge.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I record using a Shure SM7B (my preferred mic for my voice) or a Slate ML-1 microphone. I have a variety of mic preamps in my rack my favorites being Neve and API flavoured. The mic pre feeds into my 1176 compressor and that goes into a Mytek 8x192 ADDA converter.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Vocal recording! I can either follow your guide track with your melody or I can write the melody to your track for you!
