Endorse Moshe ProductionsWorking with a professional engineer like Moshe was very intuitive. He knew just where I wanted to take my track with just listening to the audio. We worked together sending each other back and forth audio tracks and they developed nicely. He is easy to work with , and has a Great ear. My favorite part of working with him has been his honest feedback. I was skeptical at first getting someone else to mix and master my projects but it gave me a sense of relief knowing he will get them where I want them to be.
Interview with Moshe Productions
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm proud of my self released projects under the name "Moshe", because I produced, recorded, mixed, mastered, and distributed it all on my own.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I have 2 artists that have full length LPs that I'm mixing right now.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I'm just starting out so I am not really familiar with people here.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital all the way, who has time to use a patchbay anymore?
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to really understand what you're looking for and deliver the product you envision.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Audio just fascinates me. I love the technical side of it, and the science behind dynamics and perceived loudness.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: "How did you do that?!" And then I show them my plugin chain on the mix lol.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That a good master can be done on websites that use algorithms to master. While they are pretty decent, I think using an engineer who specializes in mastering is the best route.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What are some songs that match the vibe you're going for? How many tracks are in your session? Where are you streaming your music?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: While all music is subjective, there are objective technical requirements that make your song sound professional. It's important to find an engineer that's on your creative vibe, so that you can trust his advice on technicalities.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: All I need is my laptop and a pair of good headphones and I'm good.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I describe myself as an Audio Engineer, because I do so many different Jobs in audio. I've been employed in the Industry for about 4 years now.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Cool, dark, sexy.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I'd love to work with Lady GaGa. Her latest release was epic.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Good EQ and Dynamic Compression is a game changer.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on Pop, Electronic, and RnB music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is my adaptability. I love the process of hearing what an artist wants, and adjusting my mixes to their creative vision.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Professional music mixed and mastered to streaming loudness specs.
Q: What's your typical work process?
