I'm experienced in a wide range of styles, most notably folk, rock and hiphop. You may have heard some of my recording/mixing work with artists such as DJ Yoda, Chali 2na, Eva Lazarus, Sheelanagig, Nuala Honan, The Carny Villains and Ewan McLennan.
I have built up a strong reputation during my 10 years in Bristol as a preferred engineer to work with on a professional and creative level in both live and studio environments. I currently manage a recording and rehearsal studio in Bristol city centre where I have worked on many recordings for successful artists. As well as being a studio recording and mixing engineer, I also have a huge amount of experience in live sound which has allowed for exciting crossovers in my work with live videos and a unique approach to recording. I love to harness the live energy of a band and look for this within the environment, taking in to account the style of music in combination with the natural acoustics.

Endorse Ben CappBen was an absolute pleasure to work with on Victoria Klewin & The TrueTones debut album. With a 7 piece band and 11 tracks to do, it could have been a very different experience. He really knows his stuff and gives just the right amount of direction and advice. He's also a lovely person who is very welcoming and easy to get on with. Legend! :)
Screamin Miss Jackson and the Slap Ya Mama Big Band could not have had a better experience with Ben. We worked exactly the way we wanted and he has the Lightest (but most precise touch) of any engineer we have worked with. Perfect recording enviroment. Love him to bits.
https://slapyamamabigband.bandcamp.com/album/i-heard-the-voice-of-a-donutBen is an absolute professional through and through. An engineer with a priceless blend of creativity, experience and the ability to sit back, listen and let the artist truly express themselves. I have worked with Ben on numerous projects - live videos, recorded tracks and drum overdubs and I have been extremely happy with the results every time.
I've worked with Ben Capp for years and he always delivers stress free live sound and grea studio work. When it came to recording my EP Ben was focused, had excellent equipment for recording and was flexible with my ideas. Ben has a great ear and was a pleasure to work with, I couldn't be happier with the finished record. http://tinyurl.com/hzcrox9
The most patient engineer I have ever worked with. Extremely meticulous with making it sound right. Ben is very skilled proficient and knowledgable about live sound and sound recording and he gets great results. He is also funny and
great to hang out with for a 12 hour day!!!
