Roots in 'Karnatic classical', a nod from David Guetta, released on Dharma Worldwide and Spinnin' Records, from Chhattisgarh, India.
I am Classically trained as a vocalist in 'Karnatik', which is a distinct musical system that uses 22 notes (Śrutis) per octave. It originated in the southern regions of India, about 500 years ago.
I do many kinds of Indian vocal recordings and compositions: bhajan, mantra, kirtan, Bollywood, alaap, stotram and full song writing. I write and compose in Hindi, Hinglish and English. And I record in Sanskrit and Malayalam as well.
