I gravitate towards bass and drums for a solid foundation.
Which artist would you like to work with and why?
I would love to work with Wyclef Jean, Usher, Jay Z, Coldplay, Adele... Blake Shelton!
Can you share one music production tip?
I like boosting frequencies, and not worry too much about cuts.
What type of music do you usually work on?
I work a lot of electronic music (Hip Hop, EDM etc...) but I also like working with live elements, especially drums!!
What's your strongest skill?
Listening for subtle elements, and enhancing tracks
What do you bring to a song?
If a mix job, I try to enhance the material, and work with what's there.
If I need to add some elements to the song/track, I always want to complement what's there
What's your typical work process?
If its a mix process, I load it into protools, listen to the track a few times and get going.
If the song needs additional production, then I would choose Ableton. Either way I try to keep the emotion of the song alive.
Tell us about your studio setup.
I mix in the box, using an apollo twin, Focal speakers+heaphones, Blueberry Mic for vocal takes. For mixing I usually go through protools, though I use more Ableton to produce
What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
Producers such as Dr Dre, the Neptunes, Timbaland and others have influenced me a lot. Mix engineer size I have to go with Jaycen Joshua, Manny Marroquin, and Andrew Schepps
Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
The most common are: producing and mixing songs
