Best music engineer in the Bay Area! Always profession and a pleasure to work with!
Highlifeflo brings unmatched talent and charisma to his studio. The only thing that may rival his astonishing engineering talents is his social ability. His studio allows you to feel comfortable to be yourself and create your best work. While also providing industry level audio engineering, there’s no way you won’t be looking to make Flo’s studio your go-to spot for any musical need. 10/10
I got a song of mine mixed by him after using someone else to do the song initially, he really boosted my confidence and turned the song into a masterpiece! I highly recommend him, he is extremely nice, and patient! He will do your song justice!
I have been going to Flo’s studio for over 2 years now. It was the best decision I have ever made and he has worked with me and ensured I have the best quality sound there is. He has helped me embrace the artist I want to become and if you’re looking for a top notch producer look no further. Highly recommend!

Flo is a great audio engineer. He is very easy to work with and will give you his best work every time. This man’s future is extremely bright.
When I tell you this man is a walking legend, make sure you read it twice. Hands down one of the best engineers, producers, and most importantly people I’ve come across! Super professional, honest, witty, humble, friendly, & kind to all new comers. His advise, critiques, and vibes in the studio are a huge reason as to why I am the artist I am today! Plus, his studio location & pricing are very pocket friendly given how many hours you need to work. Super grateful for the opportunities his studio has allowed me. I still remember the first time I booked an appointment; Haven’t looked back since!
HighLifeFlo is one of the best & chillest engineers I have ever worked with! Flo has helped me develop my sound throughout our time working together & to him it’s more than making music.
He’s honestly my Go-to guy when it comes to recording and mastering my music. He never disappoints & if he has any ideas to implement into your song, 10/10 times he’s right about it sounding 🔥

Interview with Highlifeflo
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: There are so many honestly. One this week was a song with Mac Mikes, Juiceboi & Tee Grizzley. I know will be heard by many people in the community so im happy to put my best foot forward. My role was to mix Tee Grizzley & mikes feature.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Mixing a tape with the artist lildre that I think will be great.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I am new to soundbetter but I'm sure I can find some colleagues on here
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. I think both is the way to go. I like to record through my hardware and send to other compressors and eqs for the classic characteristics of the analog pieces. Ie. distressor, LA2A, and avalon. But also I think using certain plugins like fab filter for surgical subtractive eq is great. So for me a combo hybrid set up is key.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I’ll put in 110% every time every project.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Making something from scratch and hearing it come to life. Also how people hear the song and react. I also love seeing songs become popular that we work on. It gives me a good feeling
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Turnaround time, if I have autotune. Yes I have waves tune, antares auto tune, and melodyne.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: People will be like, “So you are a dj?”
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: If they have a rough reference track, do they have the session files ready, & what they hope to achieve with the song, radio youtube, spotify etc.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Thank you for reaching out first of all. Second, just make sure you are super clear with what you want and all files are exported and tracked out properly. This will make everything easier and we can get to work asap.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Apollo x6, avalon 737 sp, manley reference cardiod, midi keyboard, & a deep fryer for my tacos.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Music. Since 14 ive loved the studio.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: In your face yet smooth. Radio quality but also a living & moving sound with feeling.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Natanael Cano. I like his sound and I think my style mixing could bring something to the table.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: A compressor narrows the dynamic range of a sound. Many people think it just makes a sound louder.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Hip hop, rap, pop, alternative hip hop, & Rnb.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I believe my ear is well developed. I can tell if something is off or needs to be adjusted or re-recorded. Also if it needs more.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I have my own mixing style. I also make sure the artist is satisfied. When it comes to recording i bring an honest and 110% work ethic. Whatever the song needs we make it happen.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: If in person recording my process is to make sure the artist is comfortable. I feel out the artists vibe and how they work and I adjust to that. If the artist is comfortable they will deliver better takes. Better takes & more creativity means better product. Then we listen back in detail to the takes and if they ask for my thoughts or ideas i chime in.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Digital studio with analog outboard gear. Easy to make the clients record radio ready.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Anyone who thinks outside the box. Engineers and producers who are unconventional or create their own sound and flavor. CLA is an engineer i can think of off the top of my head.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Recording, mixing, & mastering. During recording stage i offer ideas and will give honest opinion and production if necessary.
