Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: I'm currently mixing records for independent artists and producers while continuing to collaborate on live productions with established Latin artists.

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Digital. Today's tools are incredibly powerful, reliable, and flexible. I love analog gear, but I don't believe great mixes come from equipment—they come from decisions. If a piece of hardware genuinely improves the song, I'll use it. If not, I won't.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: I'll treat your music with the same care and attention I'd give my own. Every project deserves respect, honesty, and my full commitment—regardless of its size.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: Helping artists hear their music become what they imagined. There's nothing better than receiving a message saying, "That's exactly how I wanted it to sound."

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A: "How many revisions are included?" As many as necessary to make sure you're genuinely happy with the final result. My goal isn't just to finish a mix—it's to deliver something we're both proud of.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: That mixing is about fixing problems. A great mix doesn't create emotion—it reveals it. My job isn't to change the artist's identity; it's to bring out the best version of what's already there.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: What inspired this song? Which artists or records do you reference? What emotion do you want listeners to feel? Is there anything in the rough mix that you absolutely want to preserve? What's your deadline? These answers help me understand the artistic direction before I touch the song

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Don't choose a mixer based only on credits. Listen to their work. Ask yourself if their mixes make you feel something. Communication, trust, and understanding your vision are just as important as technical ability.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: I've been working professionally in audio for over a decade. My career has been split between studio mixing and live sound, giving me the opportunity to work with major Latin artists on stage while continuing to develop my passion for mixing records. That combination has shaped the way I approach every production: with both technical precision and a strong understanding of how music connects with people.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: Modern, emotional, and musical. I like polished productions that still feel alive and dynamic. I don't believe in mixing with presets or formulas—every song deserves its own approach.

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: I'd love to work with artists like, Ryan Tedder, John Mayer, Arctic Monkeys, Ariana Grande, Imagine Dragons They all have very different sonic identities, but they share one thing: every production is intentional. I enjoy working on music where every detail matters and the mix becomes part of the storytelling.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: Don't chase loudness too early. If your balance, arrangement, and emotion are working, loudness will come naturally at the end. A great mix starts with a great balance—not with a limiter.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: I mainly work in Pop, Latin Pop, Urban, Reggaeton, R&B, Indie Pop, Acoustic, and Contemporary Worship. I've had the opportunity to mix projects for artists including TIMØ, Kevin Roldán, Llane, and Piso 21, always adapting my approach to serve the unique identity of each production.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: Understanding the intention behind a song. Technical skills are essential, but I believe knowing what not to do is just as important. Every decision I make serves the music, not the gear. My experience in both studio mixing and live sound has taught me how to create mixes that remain impactful everywhere—from headphones to arenas.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: Perspective. A great mix isn't about adding more; it's about making the right decisions. I focus on enhancing what's already there while respecting the artist's identity. My job is to help the emotion come through clearly, creating a mix that feels exciting, balanced, and translates consistently across every playback system.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: Every song starts with a conversation. I want to understand the artist's vision, the emotion behind the record, and what they want listeners to feel. From there, I organize the session, identify the elements that truly drive the song, and build the mix around them. I usually deliver an initial version with plenty of room for feedback because I believe the best mixes come from collaboration. My goal isn't just to make a song sound bigger—it's to make it connect emotionally.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: My studio is centered around "in-the-box" mixing, primarily using Pro Tools as my main DAW. I rely on a pair of Adam A7X and Yamahas HS8 studio monitors for accurate monitoring and an Antelope interface known for its pristine AD/DA conversion. With an extensive collection of high-quality plugins, I can shape and craft sounds directly within the digital domain. The studio also features acoustical treatments for a balanced listening environment, and a powerful computer ensures smooth operation during mixing sessions.

A: I draw inspiration from several renowned musicians and music production professionals who have made significant contributions to the industry. Some of the engineers who inspire me include Serban Ghenea, Jaycen Joshua, and Joe Zook. Their work is characterized by impeccable attention to detail, innovative techniques, and a knack for creating mixes that are both dynamic and impactful. Additionally, I'm always inspired by my clients and their unique musical visions. Collaborating with different artists and helping them bring their music to life is a constant source of inspiration for me, fueling my passion for mixing.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: I focus on delivering high-quality mixes that meet and exceed my clients' expectations. I engage in open dialogues with my clients to understand their vision, influences, and desired outcomes for their music. This collaboration allows me to tailor my mixing approach to their specific needs, ensuring that the final product resonates with their artistic vision. Additionally, I offer listening sessions where clients can share references from established artists, helping me better understand and align with their desired sound.
