Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: My 5th music album as an artist and my 10th book as an author. I also work with publicity and marketing, looking for artists who have that Star-Quality. Then help them take their career to the next level by writing press releases, and helping them get interviews on radio and podcasts.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: Using my creative skills.

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Give as much information as possible about your project, so I can deliver the results you're looking for.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: Pop, Rnb, Country and Gospel.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: I've been doing this for awhile. Everything from performing in school, at a mall, a wedding, open mic nights and a music tour. My uncle owned a music bar, so I performed there and at different other venues. I was also part of a theatre and dance group, and participated in musicals. The first time I wrote for someone else, was when a friend of mine wanted me to write a song as a wedding gift. I then later performed the song at the wedding, which was a very special moment and experience. I wrote my first song at 15. Professionally I've been writing and composing songs for 10+ years.

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: Alicia Keys, Katy Perry, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Max Martin.

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Depends on the song and situation.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: To try my best!

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A: "Can you write me a song?" My answer is yes!

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: Keyboard, soundcard, mic, guitar and a laptop.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: Pop and R&B style.

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: Difficult choice. Maybe Alicia Keys, Katy Perry or Mariah Carey? Katy seems like a lot of fun to work with, and all of them are talented songwriters in my opinion.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: Having the right equipment, and a good quality mic is a great start.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: I get a creative idea, write down the ideas, then head over to my keyboard and work on the song and re-write the song and lyrics until I feel like it's perfect enough.

A: Keyboard, soundcard, mic, guitar and a laptop.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: It's difficult to choose, as I've written, composed, and done the music video editing of all of my songs. I've also produced several of the songs on my music albums. The most meaningful I think is, being asked to write a personalized wedding song to a couple, and then perform it at their wedding. It was a very special and beautiful moment.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: That it's not a real job. All creative jobs are real jobs, because it actually takes a lot of work to make it, and to be successful as a musician. If it was easy, then everybody would do it.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: I ask them to provide as much information as possible. The more detailed info I have, the quicker I can deliver the results they are looking for. Clear and detailed information makes my job easier! References are also helpful.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: Creativity, emotion, passion and experience. I've written and composed many songs, and released several music albums. I'm also an published author of many books, and can sometimes sit and write over 100 pages in a day. I get a lot of creative ideas, and can help you take your song to the next level.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: Songwriting.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: I'm often hired to do songwriting for other musicians and producers. I also get a lot of requests to do vocals, but I focus mostly on songwriting and composing melodies these days.
