Hi i'm Gabriel but you can call me Gab. I'm a sound engineer and musician from Santiago de Chile.
I've been working for the last 3 years as sound engineer in Estudio Insular (www.estudioinsular.cl) doing editing, mixing and mastering for several artist and bands from the local music scene. I'm also a restless musician and because of that i'm not afraid to pour some of my creativity on the production aspects of every project i'm involved, from editing arrangements, tuning, fooling around with effects or samples and even adding some instrumentation like guitar, synth or bass.

Interview with Gabriel Molina
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I was very inspired by Omar Rodriguez Lopez because it was impressive the amount of material he was able to produce almost by himself.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Alternative rock, but i have also worked on hip hop and electronc projects.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I'm very skilled at editing out unwanted noises on the fly.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Weirdness, and uniqueness if it's possible. I'm very eager to experiment if the client gives me the opportunity.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I keep it simple when i work at home: just my pc loaded with plugins, a Focusrite interface and my Sennheiser HD380 headphones. When working in the studio my weapon of choice is the Allen & Heath Zed R-16 and some KRK monitors.
