Nick Pike is an award-winning composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist based in London. He writes beautiful piano and string pieces, fully realising them. He can also write and record your horn section parts to bring some extra-spicey brass to your tune!
London-based producer, multi-instrumentalist and educator, Nick is an award-winning composer of beautiful and accessible piano pieces with the odd foray into jazz harmonies and funk rhythms. He has written for Film/TV, theatre and the concert hall, podcasts and audiobooks, as well as his production music being used all around the world.
Brought up on a diet of Beethoven, Debussy and Einaudi, Nick ended up gravitating towards the insidious allure of jazz and funk piano, playing in a variety of ensembles and styles around the world.
His debut solo-album Norastoria heralds his return to the fold with a look at the neo-classical genre through the lens of a hobbled funk pianist. These pieces were originally written to assist students in learning specific piano techniques before being orchestrated to make them into the body of work they are today.
In real life Nick has a dog and doesn’t ever speak in the third person.
