Hello buds! My name is Mike Ryan and I'm here to bring your songs to life. I’ve been a professional musician and studio owner for the past 12 years. Whether you’re looking to get a song mixed and mastered, need someone to write lyrics, music or a melody, or need someone to perform vocals or guitar — I can do it!

I’ve released 5 albums under my band The Town Heroes, and just finished an album under my solo project Michael S. Ryan (all the music from both artists is on Spotify). I write all the songs, play everything (except drums), and record and mix all the music at my home studio "Hot Jupiter Sounds"

WHAT I CAN DO

MIXING and MASTERING: I love bringing a song to life and letting it shine in the way it deserves to. I get into the finest details of a song and make sure every part is given the attention it requires.

SINGER: My vocals are a little bit Bon Iver, Neil Young, and Thom Yorke. If you want it to sound pretty, I’ll do that and more

GUITAR: I can play rock electric, pretty ambient stuff, or just straight ahead acoustic

MELODY, MUSIC, LYRICS: I've written A LOT of songs over the last 12 years. I'm comfortable in any style and would love to help make your song the best it can be.

I have worked with Michael on several recordings and each time it has been flawless. Although I have yet to visit Hot Jupiter to work in his actual studio. I have had the pleasure of releasing several songs that Michael has produced, performed, and/or collaborated on remotely. I currently live in Australia and Michael and I still manage to work over the international dateline and have a lot of fun doing so. Recording at Hot Jupiter with Mike was the best decision that I made for my project. Mike took such precious care in engineering a track that we were both really excited about, the whole time making me feel like family. Working with Mike is like working with family. Not only does he work incredibly hard on making sure every single project detail is absolutely perfect, he makes sure you feel comfortable and at home. Tea, fizzy water, the occasional home cooked meal, kittens, or a drink on the back deck; recording could not be more fun.
