Born in Belgium, I studied classical music before moving to pop-rock.

Since 1998 I'm playing violin and keys for many major artists, touring across the world and recording in the best studios.

Great experiences was especially performing with Led Zeppelin, Ray Charles and Diana Ross in strings section.

Since 2016 I have my own recording studio "Mekasonic" in Belgium.

  1. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  2. A: Egil F, great musician ! Fortunately for me, not a violinist :-)

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: The best is the mix of the two ! A good musician in a good room, recording in a good mic, in a good preamp, and let the digital operate for the future :-)

  5. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  6. A: I plaid in the strings section for 2 European shows with Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, one of my best memories :-)

  8. A: An american project via Avid Link, for a bluegrass band based in Rockport TX

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I want you are happy with my job, I will be open to your comments. No pride here !

  12. A: Discover a lot of incredible artists, and jump from project to project

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Can you record just some violin lines and to have the sound of an orchestra ? No, you need minimum a string quartet for that, and make some double recordings...

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: I don't play gipsy violin :-)

  18. A: Which reference does he have to give me, to be quickly on the right path

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Take notice of the experience of the provider, listen to some tracks, and test him :-)

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: My violin, my U47, my MacBook Pro, my UAD sound card and my Audeze headphones

  24. A: Moving from classical to pop-rock, I'm professional live and session musician since 1998.

  28. A: Dua Lipa, one of the most dynamic and innovative artists for the moment (with Lady Gaga of course)
