Quick turnaround, professional, great communication, attention to detail, and last but not least, an AMAZING voice!
Will definitely work with Valerio again. Valerio made me feel at home, I wasn’t too good with singing or music playing, but I never felt judged, he encouraged me and gave me really good advise in a constructive way. He was able to create the song on piano that I was trying to play on guitar hahah. He’s awesome at music, and knows his stuff. His passion and heart shows in everything he does. Highly recommend. X
I have worked with Valerio for several different projects. He is an incredible songwriter and singer and he has so many interesting and unique ideas. On the last project I worked with Valerio, he did an amazing job at the arrangement and his knowledge of music is clear. I would definitely recommend him.
I've worked with Valerio on a few projects. He has recorded vocals for my songs remotely and toplined some of my backing tracks. He's a great singer and songwriter, and the quality of the recordings from his studio is perfect!
Interview with Valerio Lysander
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started doing music professionally around 20 years ago, in the music school of my hometown. By the age of 18 I was performing on big stages in Rome, playing covers solo and with bands. Around that time, I started performing my own songs and entered a few music competitions in Italy, which led me to move to London in 2013. This city helped me connect with amazing musicians and allowed me to expand my skills and achievements. I produced my first EP in 2014, followed by two albums in 2018 and 2019. Many of the songs from these albums have been featured on national radios, like BBC in the UK and Radio Rock in Italy, and I have sung them on high profile stages, including the main stage of Pride in London and Manchester Pride. During these years I've also developed my production skills and worked with many different artists and producers as a session studio vocalist and pianist, and live as backing singer and pianist.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Hard to narrow it down to one word. As a singer/songwriter, I generally enjoy writing chamber pop, folk, anti-folk, pop and soul, but as a singer and performer I can adapt to many others, including jazz, musical theatre and rock.

A: Folk, pop, chamber pop, baroque pop, acoustic, indie

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My album "We Are Like Coloured Moths Towards the Sunlight". I have written all the songs, recorded most instruments, vocals and backing vocals, produced and arranged all the songs.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on a new album of my songs which features orchestral arrangements and electronic production.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Creativity and freedom.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Sufjan Stevens, Regina Spektor, Rufus Wainwright, Ludovico Einaudi, Dardust, Enrique Gonzalez, Leo Abrahams
