Dominik Rolke is a multi-platinum music producer from Mainz. His passion for music began at six during classical piano and cello training, later adding organ lessons at 18. In 2013, he started composing and producing his own music, mastering various genres through collaborations. Today, he produces everything from Pop, EDM, and Dance to Hip-Hop, RnB, Soul, and film music.

Dominik’s expertise includes vocal/instrumental recording, vocal editing, and post-production. Since 2018, he has run his own studio in Mainz, working on diverse projects. In 2020, he signed with OUATIB/Sony Music Publishing.

  1. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  2. A: I do music production for over 10 years now. I started with doing a lot of cover music. After that I had the chance to be part of a score for a german movie called "Mein Blind-Date mit dem Leben". Shortly after I startet working in a studiocomplex in Mainz, worked with countless artists, made several Albums and Singles. Now I´m signed to OUATIB (SonyATV).

  4. A: Go the extra mile! It´s worth it.

  5. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  6. A: Pop, RnB, HipHop, Rap but my love is Scoring

  7. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  8. A: I would say playing the piano especially for pop records.

  9. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  10. A: I´ll bring it to the next level according to the vocal sound so there are no wrong notes any more :-)

  11. Q: What's your typical work process?

  12. A: I try to work as clean as possible. What I mean by that is to be precise about labeling your Tracks, making surgically cuts and fades to vocal phrases and preserve the overall feel of the performance.

  13. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  14. A: I run a professional studio.

  15. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  16. A: I do a lot of songwriting while sessions in the studio. But after that comes the postproduction where Vocal-Editing is mainly my part.
