My name is Ruud van Halder. I have over 10 years of experience in composing, recording, and touring. With a strong imagination and a broad musical taste, I specialize in Americana, folk, pop, and pocket based music. I have a deep love for tasteful, analog-sounding elements and always think in the best interest of the song.
Due to my experience as a session guitarist, I specialize in about any genre. That allows me to adapt like a chameleon.
But my heart lies in americana, folk, pop and jazz/funk related music.
I studied guitar at Codarts, Rotterdam from 2011 - 2015. In 2015 I started to tour around the world with MARUTYRI, a jazz/funk collective.
After doing that for a few years I joined Holland’s biggest artist Suzan & Freek (pop/country).
Early this year I released my first album with acoustic guitar pieces that I recorded myself. You'll find it in my playlist.
I have a lot of gear to choose from, so I'll always be able to find the best sound for your production.
