Starting music production whilst studying engineering at S.A.E. on to working as a resident engineer at Kingly street studios London, UK, I went on to work freelance in studios across London.
Experience in analogue and digital formats enables the flexibility to work in just about any studio as well as from my own studio remotely.

  1. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  2. A: Ability to translate what I hear or what someone is bringing to me and then taking it to a finished product that all involved are happy with and proud of.

  3. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  4. A: A project for a national mental health charity where I was able to produce and develop singers and rappers and musicians creating tracks that raised money for the charity but more importantly raised the confidence of people who society wrote off and created some beautiful music.   5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Both! Digital is convenient and versatile but analog is warmer and has character

  7. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  9. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  10. A: Started in the 90's left the industry for a while but still did charity projects and occasional freelance work, now Back For Good (sounds like a good song title :-)).

  11. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  12. A: Software have protools prefer using Reason as it reminds me of a traditional studio setup eg 2inch, mixing desk and modules, Tascam / Mackie / Maudio soundcard, firewire desk, mackie monitors, best of all my ears. I have worked in various studios with varying degrees of quality equipment, and varied quality of engineers, equipment doesn't make great music, people do.

  14. A: Mainstream melodic with a spicy twist and loads of mmmm YEAH!

  15. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  16. A: Always record the first practice run while "setting levels" without the artist or musician knowing.

  18. A: Production, revamping songs, used to recreate samples of tracks for rap artists and other beat-makers

  24. A: Find out what the direction of the project is bounce ideas, start vibing!

  38. A: I focus on bringing out the best performance and working to bring the best out of a song, whatever my role is, and the ability to do it.
