Scottish music lover, musician and producer living & working in London. Past lives in Amsterdam, Toronto and Brisbane. I produce and mix other artists that I find inspiring. I take a hybrid approach to mixing, adding a distinctive sonic character & vibe to the records I work on. Get in touch & let’s talk about your project.
I've been playing in bands all my life & have naturally graduated into producing and mixing. My background is in indie and experimental pop records - I like to make music that sound like it has a place between the past and the present. I love referencing obscure sounds and marrying that with contemporary sonics to create exciting tracks.
I currently play in the London band Probably Oslo. Our debut singles ‘Hideaway’ and 'Little By Little' were supported by BBC Introducing London and Amazing Radio with Louder Than War magazine describing the band as "Timeless" and "Irresistible.” Since then, we’ve toured the UK and NL a few times.
My musical and production influences include: Phoenix / Philippe Zdar, Robyn, The Go Betweens, Fleetwood Mac, Sonic Youth, late 70s Rolling Stones, Leonard Cohen, RZA, The War on Drugs + much more.
I'm available for remote mixing and production & can work to a deadline, no problem. I'm relaxed about revisions and we keep going until we get it right. Happy to lay down additional instruments on your tracks if you like.
Get in touch and let's talk about your project, more than happy to have a video call to say hello and talk about your work in advance.
Cheers and best wishes,
Danny
