  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I just released two songs streaming now on all platforms under JayDavi! I wrote and arranged both songs.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I’m writing and recording an EP due to release March 5, 2021.

  6. A: No, Not at the moment.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: I like analog because it has a different sound but I understand digital is easier.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I’ll get your song done by the time you need it!

  12. A: I love being creative I love meeting new people talking and vibing.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Have you ever recorded before or are you on any recent songs?

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: I’m older so people think I’m stuck in this 90s sound but I listen to everything!

  18. A: What’s your ideal sound? Why are you singing this song? What message are you trying to get across?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Just tell me what you want give me the music and I’ll follow up with the lyrics!

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: The solar powered batteries Bluetooth radio, all my songs that I have downloaded, my phone a large knife firewood and a gun.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I want to work as a songwriter and possibly perform my songs with a band once we can have live music again.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: My style is real small Neo soul but I am a soprano so I can’t take it up!

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: I would love to work with Drake because when I harmonize with him we sound great together! I can only imagine if we wrote a song together.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: On the first take, sing the song all the way through then listen to it and chop up the parts that sound good and fix the parts that you want to improve on.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: I usually work on R&B and soul music.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: I see my strongest girl is harmonizing modulations and coming up with lyrics to match the artist’s concept.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I’ll bring passion and a strong tone with a prominent whisper sound. Also bring great harmonies to be used.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I listen to the track in my headphones and record a melody on a voice memo then write what comes to my head or sometimes in the middle of the night lyrics and a melody will come to me and I’ll write it down.

  40. A: I work in the studio in Southern California but my set up is my bedroom.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I’m inspired by song writers like NeYo, Taylor Swift Ed Sheeran, and Billie Eilish.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I am an R&B pop and hip-hop song writer most of my recording is riding hooks for hip-hop artist but I write a lot of ballads and midtempo songs.
