International Audio Engineer and Music Producer
I am a classically-trained musician and professional audio engineer with extensive experience in performance, music theory, notation and music history. With over 20 years experience in the field I have played for numerous events internationally and currently serve as the keyboardist for one of the top bands in the Bahamas. I also have extensive experience in recording, vocal tuning, mixing and mastering of audio collaborations and solo projects. I am a graduate of Full Sail University with a Bachelors in Recording Arts as well as The College of the Bahamas where I obtained my degree in Music, specializing in Piano. I have worked under top music producer Salaam Remi at his Instrument Zoo studio in Miami, Florida where I assisted on various projects. I am currently located in the Bahamas where I work on a variety of projects from commercial ads to voiceover projects to even live audio events. I am a self-motivated individual with dedication and a proven ability to work independently and collaboratively. I can't wait to work with you!

Interview with Calvin "MastrC" Parker
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: The project that I am most proud of at this point in my career is a documentary called 'For the Love of Conch'. I worked as the music producer for this particular project. I am proud of this specifically because it was the first time I have worked on a visual project of that magnitude.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love providing the best quality for my clients.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I would take my Laptop, keyboard, Apollo interface, some headphones and my WA-87 microphone.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: There are actually two artists I would love to work with. The first is Jeezy. As a hip hop fan, I just love the type of production Jeezy always has on his albums and I would love to provide that same quality for him. The second is Bruno Mars. As a musician, the instrumentation and arrangement of his records are amazing and I know we would make an awesome record together!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Music Theory! Having at least an understanding of how music theory works is key as a music producer.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I can work on any genre of music I'm presented with however Hip Hop has always been my main genre.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is my ability to adapt to any situation I'm presented with.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: As a musician, I bring my skill of musicianship to completely understand where the song is going instrumental wise as well as vocally. This skill also allows me as the mixing engineer to understand the sonic relationships between various instrumentation and to help create the highest quality mix possible.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Well each project is different in how it needs to be done, however I always make it a point to understand the client's vision for their project completely.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a personal home studio setup with the full capability to provide any service from vocal and instrument tracking, overdubbing, mixing and mastering of projects.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: As a pianist, I have always looked up to amazing artists like Alicia Keys, John Legend and Stevie Wonder. As an engineer and music producer I am inspired greatly from the works done by Salaam Remi, Dj Swivel, Leslie Brathwraite, Byran Michael Cox and the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League
