Carolyn is a New Mexico based artist, songwriter, and producer. Having made over 330 songs over the time of four years, she has a deep love for the process and journey of songwriting. As a dream pop artist, she taps into the emotive side of herself and the stream of collective expression to bring positive change into the world.
I love to connect with other songwriters and musicians to help bring out their authentic sound and vision. I've been writing songs for over five years and producing for about four years. Creating music is one of my greatest passions. I believe creating an audio expression that truly emanates your essence is one of the most fulfilling quests to be on and is something I deeply cherish as an artist. I love to be of service whether as a songwriter, collaborator, or vocalist. It would be an honor to work alongside those who have a vision for their art. If you are interested in working together feel free to reach out.

Interview with Carolyn Fogerty
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I would say my style is ever evolving. I am not tied to one specific sound and as I grow as a human, my music evolves with it and that is one of my favorite parts of being on a music journey.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: When it comes to music producing, I will say that is not my area of knowledge. However, when it comes to making a song, I would say to write about what inspires you at the moment and have fun with it. Absolutely take your art seriously but also maintain a level of fun and freedom with it so that you can enjoy the journey as much as possible.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am currently working on coming out with a debut album and writing songs.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: They are both amazing for different reasons. Analog helps to capture the essence of the live performance and atmosphere in a moment while digital helps you to hone in on your sound in a totally unique way too. I like using both of them in different ways and it varies from song to song.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will really listen to you and help you hone in on your own vision and goals so that you can feel confident in where you want your song to go. I want the artist to maintain their creative freedom while also remaining open to new ideas.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Who are your biggest musical inspirations and what are you trying to achieve for creating your sound? How do you want to feel and make your listeners feel when they hear your song? What are your goals for working or collaborating with me?
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I studied art history and Christianity in college and started writing songs my senior year of college in my dorm room. I have been producing and writing songs for almost four years now now and plan to get better at my craft over time and with other people. I love learning more about different musical eras, styles, genres, and technical details. I love the process of writing songs. It fulfills so much of my creative longing.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Crafting a song, writing lyrics, creating melody verses and dynamism, vocals.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My setup is simple but mighty. I currently have an amazing Arturia KeyLab Essential that comes with incredible software and over 5,000 different instruments. That in itself is enough to keep you occupied for lifetimes. I also have an Audio Technica Microphone, Fender Stratocaster, Acoustic guitar, and Focusrite Scarlett audio interface. But for the most part, my midi keyboard, mic, and audio interface is what I primarily use when creating music.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I love The Japanese House, MXXWLL, Mark Ronson, Mariah McManus, and FKA Twigs. I think they are creative geniuses and would love to collaborate with them. They have a special vision and drive for their music that creates profound ripple effects for positive change in the world and that is something I aim for and admire.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I am a singer-songwriter and vocalist with years of writing and production skills. Writing songs is my life's passion. I will help with crafting lyrics as well as background vocals or vocals in general.
