Interview with Profile User 334676
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: "Fix Me" by Nineteen Eighty Four" was one of the best completed projects I ever produced. I made the beat, I mixed and mastered the beat's sounds, I mixed and mastered Santi's vocals and I produced, promote, published and marketed the whole song.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am working on my next BIG release : "The One". It's about a girl.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Unfortunately I don't know, but it's not a bad idea to make some SoundBetter friends :-).
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Definetely analog, because the sound was pretty clear back then.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will produce you the best songs & I will write you the best song ever!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: It's creative.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How much the beat will cost me and in how many hours/days/weeks it will be delivered. The answer depends on your project.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I am NOT A PUBLISHER or a Label. I cannot make you famous , hypothetical client, OK? However I have a Label which can help you reach your audience.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Why do you make music?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: FOLLOW YOUR HEART! (and listen to my music to check what amazing beats and lyrics you will get)
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My laptop, my sound card, my phone, a microphone and a wireless internet receiver for Internet access.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: It's something I don't tell actually to people. I tried to rap when I was young. I am only saying that :-) . After 5 whole years of work, people can finally understand me through my music.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Aesthetic.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would really love to work with Drake. He is just a STAR! Also I would like to see how he works and how his executive producer Noah works.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Be creative! Work hard! Be patient! The results will come only after you work hard.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I mainly work on Trap , Pop music, R&B and Hip-Hop.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Ideas for melody and structure. I can just go for a walk and imagine the whole beat, the whole song, how it could be. That's called PRODUCER'S VISION!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring love, sadness and pretty much any emotion I have that specific moment.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I wake up every day, drink coffee and start from the melody's chords. After that I am adding my drum patterns and finally I am mixing all my sounds. I master the final thing and BOOM! Ready for the publishing process. I contact my distributors , I discuss with UpBeat about the marketing's budget. We work EVERY SINGLE DAY. Even Sundays! It's a quite big process to make a 3 minutes song in our days.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My setup is ULTRA complicated, but it works great for me. The gear I most commonly use is a custom build PC I made in 2018 : Ryzen 7 3700U, Nvidia RTX 2080TI, 32GB RAM (I know - I overkilled it), ASUS WX299, a Corsair 1000W (I don't remember it's model), an NZXT H510 Black Case and 5TB of disk space (2TB M.2 SSD Samsung and 3TB HDD TOSHIBA). I know, I know....It's a monster, but I am also a video editor (I edit my videoclips) and a GAMER! Yeeees! I play games! The recording equipment is : An Antelope Audio Goliath HD Gen 3 for my artists' recording sessions, a Brauner Microphones VMA (latest model) with a NEUMANN PS-20Α pop filter for better audio. My MIDI keyboard is a Haken Audio Slim Continuum S70L6X. Now that was my main studio's hardware. My on the go studio is: A 2019 MacBook Pro and all the softwares & plugins I use in my main studio:FL Studio Producer Edition, Nexus, Omnisphere, some Splice rented plugins and that's pretty much it. (fan fuct: It took me 20 days to install all those things, oof)
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am inspired by Noah 40 (Drake's executive producer), Nick Mira (Juice WRLD co-writer and Lucid Dreams' producer). Music is quite complicated if you want to make a complicated project. It is easy if you want to do something easy and simple. Without any impressive detail, but only ordinary patterns. That's why I always tend to create the trends and inspire people than following them blindly.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I always find myself producing songs and mixing or even finishing beats. However I have been writing songs since 2018 but in a lower scale in comparison with the producing process. Music is about creativity and culture. I am creative enough to work with any part of the music procedure. It also depends on which mood I am in the specific period of my creation. If I feel sad I will make a sad song. If I am happy I won't limit myself into just a beat. I'll start writing my feelings into a piece of paper.
