Client-focused producer/songwriter who has worked with Grammy-nominated artists including Mark Foster (Foster The People), Tony Hoffer (Beck), Paul Meany (Twenty One Pilots), and Kai (Diplo, Flume). I have written and produced music that charted at Top-25 radio, featured on Spotify's NMF and in EA Sports' Madden, and reached #1 on Hype Machine.
As a songwriter and producer for my own music project, I understand the passion and drive artists have in wanting to create something special. My goal is to work closely with you to help realize your vision and use my years of experience to bring out the best in the song.
My specialities lie in creating a full-fledged production from an initial idea you might have, be it a progression, top-line melody, or simply a lyrical thought. Whether you need a full production or simply help getting your song over the finish line, I would love to be involved in helping you achieve your goals.
I've worked with Grammy-nominated artists and Billboard chart-topping songwriters to create songs that have charted on radio, placed on numerous Spotify editorial playlists, and featured in nationally broadcasted TV and video games. Every song and artist is completely different and I want to work with you to discover what that means for your music. I have been working in music my entire life and take influences from a variety of genres; hence, I never place any limitations on production or songwriting and I believe that's where the magic happens.

Interview with Jacob Alexander
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am producing an EP for ROMES and some other big/up and coming artists right now.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That I will deliver you something you will be stoked on!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: That it never feels like a job. I love creating and writing and the fact I can do this everyday and call it my job is amazing.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: They ask if I can mix and master their track as well as produce their song. The answer is always yes!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: any musician or producer that isn't afraid to be different and push the envelope. I love artists who don't just try to fit in but rather create their own story and vibe and put their own spin on pop music.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Modern/edgy with a timeless feel to it.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't overthink things. Have fun with it and don't be afraid to be a bit wild with your sonic choices.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: all types. I don't put limits on what I work on. I truly love all music. Anything from pop, hip hop, rock, r&b, edm, indie, etc.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: pushing an artist to a place they thought they could never creatively or artistically go. Bringing a small rough idea into a radio ready hit.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Billie Eilish. She's flipped the pop game on its head with her style and production.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have my own studio at my place in downtown Toronto. I record, mix, write and produce other artists here as well as my own project ROMES.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I typically take a rough song idea and turn it into a completed radio-friendly production. I'm a songwriter and artist for my own project as well so I understand the importance of bringing an artistic vision to life while figuring out how to best capture the magic in a song.
