Interview with Francisco Huici
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Domus Artis is a small auditorium (6x6mts), with great ambience, that provides a round and full sound for acoustic instruments. We also have a Bechstein piano that we use in jazz and tango live sessions. We try to capture the acoustic nature of sound, and the richness of harmonics that is produced when instruments play together in the same room. Plus, we work with the finest pro musicians in the area.

A: Quincy Jones, Ennio Morricone, Vince Mendoza, Count Basie, Debbusy, Stravinsky, Pat Metheny, Arvo Part.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: When I get the demo track to work on I suggest different orchestrations and rec them in MIDI and VST, alongside the full score and particellas. Full service includes recording, editing, with full protools session and track delivery. Once the music is approved I schedule the recording session with musicians. Generally we record in our own place, Domus Artis, here in Buenos Aires, which has a great natural ambience to record live large brass and strings ensembles. You'll get the tracks edited, ready to mix, with suggested mixing preferences.
