I am able to not only write for producers but to also sing in a variation of voices that one would not expect. so in me you have many artists in one. from a normal pop style through a method man, Jamaican, dancehall, fat man scoop, and even more styles. I adapt to the song I hear.
I offer a variety of styles in writing and singing/rapping
I offer an open ear to costumers wishes and additional changes.
Due to me being an artist since the 80s and due to me touring through over 60 countries. Ive always been in the music scene and have spent most of my past years on stages and in studios writing and recording. I have a good ear to create great lyrics and melodies.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: the project R.I.O I was the front man and I was able to put something personally special in almost every song. one special touch was my way of putting a slight Jamaican touch into most of the songs and I sure that without that we would not have had the success we had. I very proud of the five years we worked together and I thankful to be able to have traveled through over 50 countries with that project and further after I left the project. There are many project around the world that im proud of just check my Wikipedia Discography: Tony T Neal Dyer since the list would be too long but there you can view at least a few of what Ive written up till today.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I produce songs for other artists and at the moment I also work in a center teaching kids everything I have learned about music, It keeps them on a positive road and I love giving back. I work with producers from around the world on songs they send me and I work on my own projects since I have a few together with other artists.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Sherman Devries for mixing and mastering. Im new here so I don't know who from the people I know are here.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both since analog ist the original sound and how it all started and still id say nothing tops the analog sound, but it's getting there. Digital because its easier for most to work with since they then do not need all that hardware and still can create music with an amazing sound.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: to do my best and to be open for advice since we are all here to learn on a daily basis.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: there are too many things that I love about my job, be it the faces I look at while I sing. The waiting for an answer after sending a song back to the producers. The teamwork process while working with other on a track. The feeling of completing a song from scratch. The screams of fans just because I said hi. The reaction when I come out on the stage. The feeling when someone tell me that one of my songs changed their live or helped them through a hard time. Spending more time with fans just to answer questions and have a talk since most artists just leave and I think it ok to do both. Ive stayed grounded due to being a normal person to everyone once im not on the stage since we are all one. I could go on and on ;) I just love it so much.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: can I sing on one of their songs or how much would a show cost. my answer to the song is, send me the song for me to have a listen and I'll get back to you. About the shows that depends on where the show will take place.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I do not only have one style and Im called multitalented by those who know me. due to the world hits with the project R.I.O many think that that vocal style is the only one I have. the truth is that alone the first song Shine On was written for normal English and as I was in the studio I sang it over and over and it just didn't feel right. Then I decided to give it a Jamaican touch and that's how that style became a signature and for some a stamp on what I do. If they only knew ;)
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: where can I hear your work what style of vocals would you like on your track what style would you like me to write for your track
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be honest
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: 1. mic 2. MacBook with all my programs 3. Interface 4. Mixer 5. Speakers
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started my career in Germany in 1994 as the fron rapper/singer of the group Beatsystem. we had a few hits and toured through Europe for a few years. in those years I wrote at least 80 songs for the producers I worked with. from 1996 till 2007 I worked with jung artists teaching them and carving their own skills in singing, rapping, writing dancing. in 2007 I started working with New producer from Köln Germany together we formed the project R.I.O with me as the only singer. Our first song (R.I.O Shine On) went viral world wide just like the songs that came after shine on. I was on tour though over 50 countries from 2007-2012. In 2012 I started my solo career and started working with producers from around the world, writing and recording on all styles of music. that's what I do up till today.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I wouldn't say I have one style since I adapt to the song I hear, and im not at all blocked due to a certain style. I love all styles of music like Pop, soul, jazz. hip hop. dance, deep house, dancehall, reggae and more. since I also have many many voices I have much joy in recording or writing on many styles just like I freestyle on almost any style I hear in a way that it sounds as if what I do what meant to be on that song.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Any artist who is willing to work with me as long as it is on a professional and honest basis.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: For vocal recording I advise all whom I record to smile while singing to reach an open and cleaner sounding recording. unless its a sad song.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: dance, pop, deep house, House, dancehall, electro, Rapp, Rnb, reggae, soul, trap
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Freestyling for hours and hours. most of the time LYris flow to my mind very fast and most are surprised, I call it a universal gift that Im thankful for.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: what the song needs
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: well that depends on what Im doing and I do a lot, from writing to singing, rapping, producing, coaching artists. writing: I listen to the song and when it hits me in a way that I feel it and can say yes to myself then I know I got this. I don't just write randomly to get songs done since I love to write songs that stay in the minds of people after they listen to the sone once. there is an importance in writing lyrics that stay in the mind. when I hear a song for the first time I just need up to 30 seconds to know If the song is something I want to work on because the melody or the lyrics pop up very fast fits something I will work on. I can of course also work on songs that don't hit me directly since some songs that I receive are half finished. I love to make a random demo sound like a hit due to my vocals. I think its important to write songs that can be played on the radio so in other words I also like to write in a comical style, since non comical is very simple.
