Im a Recording Arts graduate from The LA Film School. I have been around music my entire life. I have worked with rappers, singers, and producers to take their music to the next level. My strong suits when it comes to genres are Hip-Hop, RnB, and Pop. A mix is never done until the artist is happy and I mean until the artist is truly happy.
I offer nothing but the best "in the box" mix. I offer a place to record/mix and for people to just be themselves and vibe out and make amazing music. I am good at what I do and I do not stop until I get everything I can possibly can out of a song or project.
My job is to enhance what's already there and thats what I plan to do. I bring life to vocals, punchiness to the drum and brightness to instruments. My services range from tracking an individual all the way to doing minor touch ups to an already semi mixed track that just needed better leveling and changes to give it more character. I am also a producer so I have also touched up already existing tracks to create better transitions, drops, and grooves.
I can also help teach people how "I" mix because the truth of it all is there is no "right" or "wrong" way to mix because the saying goes "if it sounds good, it is good". Now there are some rules that you should kind in mind because as a compressors can give life to a vocal and it can also kill a performance. So I'm offering lessons on how I mix and why I do what I do and the reasons behind why I do them. Like I said I graduated from the Recording Arts Program so I give you the technical reasons why and help take your mixes to the next level.

Interview with Stax's Studio
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am working with a couple of people who are looking to release a their EPs.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital for me personally I feel like I can the most out of a track in the box plus if I ever need to make quick changes my laptop is always there.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will not stop until they are happy.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: My favorite part is listening back after a long session and seeing the reactions of people hearing the song for the first time.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How long does it take to finish a mix? Its could take as little as a couple of hours all the way to a couple of days, every mix is different and the mix is never done until the artist is truly happy.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is their end goal for their project? What do they hear or want to hear done to the song?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

Q: What's your typical work process?
A: If someone send me a track to mix, I tend to just listen through it 2-3 times and take notes on what I hear whether its good or bad. Ill take care of all the errors I heard first and filter unwanted freqs and do minor compression and bring everything in a little tighter and then start enhancing.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Noah "40" Shebib inspires me because he changed the sound of mixing. Cutting High End off the instruments and drums to make the artist the most important part of the song.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I usually track vocals and then mix the entire song or I get pre-recorded tracks and mix them. I have also gotten an entire tape (10-13 tracks) and mixed them as a whole.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a "vibey" studio when people can come and feel inspired to work because what the point of all the gear if you don't feel like working.
