Recording/performing artist & songwriter from DFW with roots in Country, Americana, Folk, Indie, and Alternative music.
Hi! I'm Frankie Leonie and I'm a singer-songwriter/recording and performing artist based out of Dallas, Tx. My music has been featured on playlists such as Songpickr's Americana & Alternative Country, Women of Americana, Best Songs 2020 and Indie-Soda's Indie-Pop Hits of 2020. I specialize in Americana/Country music with modern influences and a focus on story telling and floating melodies.
Whether it's been in the studio, in a co-write, or on a stage, I've had the honor of working with people such as Lukas Nelson, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Margo Price, Heather Morgan, Paul Cauthen, Joe Ely, Julian Raymond, and many others.
If you have any lyrics that need a melody, a melody that needs lyrics, or just some BGV's, I look forward to working with you! (Rates are just average/baseline, so depending on what the project is, we can discuss pricing!)

Interview with Frankie Leonie
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to communicate and collaborate the best I can to ensure that you get everything you wanted and were expecting. My biggest goal is for everyone to feel good about the finished product!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I love all things 50s/60s/70s! The music, the fashion, the architecture...all of it is just so great.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I typically work on Americana/Country/Roots music!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I love to take a melody and make it my own, while keeping the integrity of a song.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a sound that catches people, and lyrics that keep them locked in. To me, lyrics are the most important part, but you also have to have a strong melody to get the listener hooked in the first place.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I've always been inspired by classic country and folk artists like Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Townes Van Zandt, and Loretta Lynn. I admire the simplicity, yet painful honesty of the songwriting.
