When it comes to bass there are some key components that are necessary for a successful song:

groove - I know how to lock-in with a drummer, not just play along side them
rhythm - I have practiced for thousands of hours with a metronome
taste - I have absorbed countless licks and riffs from memorizing hundreds of songs
space - playing with space can contribute exponentially to a musical moment
melody - I play with the rhythm and the melody. Counter melody is a powerful tool
historically informed - my playing is informed by musical cliches based on decade and genre

For over 16 years I have played and toured in Bluegrass, Alternative Indie, Top 40, 70's Funk, Traditional Jazz, Big Band, Hard Rock, and Blues groups. More recently I am writing, produce, and mixing my own music.

My credentials include a bachelor degree in Jazz Studies on bass (upright and electric), a Bachelor of Educaiton, and am working on a Master of Education Technology.

I am fluent in Logic Pro X and track my instruments through a UA Apollo Duo.
