Session guitarist with 20+ years of session guitars (electric and acoustic), producing, engineering, mixing and writing. My musical mission is to serve the song, push boundaries, and create music that people fall in love with. Whatever genre, style or approach I strive to make music that creates mood, vibe, and memory.

Dave Preston has shared stages with Jake Shimabukuro, Dispatch, Matt Morris, Justin Timberlake, Gregory Alan Isakov, Tab Benoit, Trace Bundy and many others. He has appeared on popular late night television shows performing for millions of viewers worldwide. Preston's original cinematic/ambient music has been featured internationally on radio, podcasts, playlists as well as commercials and Film/TV. All of his ambient/experimental albums have had charting success Be (2008), Soundtrack For Motion (2010) the most recent In These Storms debuting at #27 on the Zone Music Reporter. Recently Preston has toured extensively with ukulele legend Jake Shimabukuro worldwide performing and singing while recording for Shimabukuro on the The Greatest Day(2019) record.
The newest release titled Trio (2020) features the Preston as a composer and multi-instrumentalist and reached #1 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz chart.
Preston resides in Denver, CO where maintains a heavy presence as one of most sought after producer/musicians in the region.
