Excellent! The sound of the recording is stellar (what a great sounding room) and everything on the technical side is top-notch, too.
The communication was fast and easy and it was absolutely lovely working with these people. Thank you.
Best recording studio I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I've worked with R.A.u.M. 103 on a wide variety of projects - from sound design to full production of a movie soundtrack. Huge recording room with built in green screen and a Steinway grand piano, state of the art technology and staff you will just love.
I produce many recordings for German TV (ARD, ZDF, Arte, KIKA) at this recording studio. It is an ideal place to combine contempory music production with classical recordings. High end recordings can be combined with modern libraries and contempory workflows. Love it...
Ein sehr schönes großes Studio mit excellentem Flügel und guter Natur-Raumakustik.
Der sehr erfahrene Tontechniker sorgt für einen wunderbaren Sound.
Interview with R.A.u.M. 103
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: We work every year for the German TV show "Dein Song" which is about songs written and performed by kids and teens. Every song of this format is produced in our studio. And there is a lot of talent in the new generation
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Our soundengineers are very experienced (some of them more than 20 years), they've studied music production and recording and have worked with many famous artists.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both is good. We use a combination of both analog and digital. Analog for sound, digital for the precision and workflow.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Our trustworthy Neumann KH420 Monitors, a U87 and KM120 Microphone, the SSL AWS 948 and our Steinway D-274.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Audiophile, tech-nerdy, but in a musical sense
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: We work every year for the German TV show "Dein Song" which is about songs written and performed by kids and teens. Every song of this format is produced in our studio. And there is a lot of talent in the new generation!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: We promise to deliver nothing but the absolute best we can!
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: If you have a crystal clear vision, great! Give us as many details and references as possible. If not, let us add our own flavor and artistic conception of your idea!
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Basically anyone who has a great artistic vision and is skilled enough to implement said vision.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: A positive environment is the foundation of the magic that is music production.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: In the pre-production phase we set the mood, arrange the song parts and instruments. Together with our session musicians we search for the perfect sound for the recording. Depending on the work they bring their unique flavor and interpretation to the project. In the post-production phase we edit, mix and pre-master the track to perfection.
