I'm a guitarist and singer/songwriter from Long Island, New York. I provide studio and live performance for full bands or singer/songwriters. I write, perform and produce for my own original band Sean V Syndicate.
I have many years of guitar recording experience. My blues/rock guitar style has been compared to David Gilmour and Jimi Hendrix. My main goal is to play for the song. Sometimes less is more. I don't like to overplay. I can write catchy lead guitar lines around the vocal phrasing. I can also create multiple layers of rhythm textures. The audio file includes numerous guitar solos (from my own songs and others I have recorded for) in a variety of rock styles. I'm a great listener and will hear what your song needs in terms of guitar tone and amplifier selection.

My collaboration with Sean continues to be a rewarding journey into the mind and music of a composer with an engaging style of writing coupled with excellent understanding of the instrument. On top, he knows when to push for his vision and when to leave room for the interpreter, while always keeping communication warm and friendly. My highest recommendation!

As always a pleasure. I have worked with Sean on 3 pieces now, and apart from the compositions being excellent, he is a pleasure to communicate with; open to suggestions, while still sure about he direction he wants the music to take, and a very clear and precise communicator.

Sean is very pleasant to work with. The piece I played for him was well written, both with regards to playability and musicality, and his communication was clear, to the point, friendly and fast. I look very much forward to our continued collaboration

Sean did a great job on rhythm and lead guitar for my song
I recommend him to anyone needing a studio recording track.
John R from Texas Sean is such an amazing guitar player as well as a truly kind and easygoing personality. He can take direction and run with it or create the perfect part to serve the song. He's got great energy live or in the studio--you will not regret hiring him!
I have worked with Sean Virag on a number of sessions, he is an excellent creative player. One very striking attribute is his ability to complement the composition - tuning into the intent and direction of the piece. I've seen him play some wonderful nylon string pieces. His rates are reasonable, shows up prepared and on time.

- Playin the Blues!!Dec 22, 2016
Working on an original blues/rock tune for a client in Austin, TX. The rhythm guitars were played on a Guild Sf-4 Westley through an Orange Rockerverb 50. The leads guitars were played on my 59 Gibson LP Clapton reissue through a Marshall JCM 900 with a tube screamer and a tinge of reverb from an Electro Harmonix Holy Grail. Can't wait to hear the final product!!
