Since as early as he can remember, Cooper Anderson has loved music. He has been recording music since, at the age of 3, he got his first boom box; he quickly found the button marked with a little red dot.
Cooper graduated from the first full-time Contemporary Music and Production technical high school program in the USA. He went on to graduate with honors from the Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Production and Engineering.
Having previously interned and worked with major label artists in New York City, Cooper returned to the Big Apple after college to work with Producer/Mixer Ken Lewis.
Kanye West, Just Blaze, Jay – Z and Ghostface Killah are just a few of the world-renowned artists with whom Cooper has worked during his career of writing, producing, engineering, mixing and mastering music with major Rock, Dance, and Pop artists.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't be afraid to commit or delete ideas
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, EDM, Alt Rock, Hip Hop
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Consistency
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I'm a finisher. I like to do whatever it takes to get the job done. In mixing, it's generally the final "polish," but also sometimes I hear extra delays or FX that are cool for the song. If I have an idea I'm not afraid to try it, but also not adamant if it doesn't fit the clients vision.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to start a mix by listening to the rough mix a few times to get a vibe of the song. Then I start the mix with all of the faders down from the bottom up (Drums first.) I try to get a quick mix going with just levels and pans first and then go back and tweak stuff. By the time I'm done, I'm familiar with the parts of the song and how they all work.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Hybrid analog/digital Pro Tools HD with LOTS of plugins. Control room and live room. Parking available and near transit.
