I'm a bass player composing bass lines and rearranges existing songs to a completely new sound
I'm Rosan Asmussen; a young female Dutch bass player. As a little kid, starting on drums made me dream of becoming a bass player. But one thing will never change; having FUN takes me where I want to be. And I life for playing the bass, improvising, writing tunes with all that I learning while traveling for music.
Inspired by Richard Bona, Francis Rocco Prestia, Jaco Pastorius, James Jamerson and Pino Palladino, I stepped into the session musician scene and traveled the world to discover local music styles.
Recently launched a YouTube Bass channel called ‘Rosan’s Bass World’ to share bass lines with the world and show just how bad this instrument really is. New collaborations arise through this international platform and I also want to offer other bass players the opportunity to stand in the spotlight.
