Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm very proud of my debut single 'Want U' https://soundcloud.com/derionlamar/want-u in which I was the singer/songwriter.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: My debut EP.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I can promise to deliver the services offered with the quickest turn around time as possible.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Is this an album track or a single? Do you have any issue with range? Would you prefer if I kept the key lower? Do you prefer to have catchy melodies and thoughtful lyrics? Or both?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Listen to the providers audio samples! The songs I put in my reel are songs that showcase my thought and creation process.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My mic, interface, laptop, monitors, and headphones haha
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Music is my career path. I am a recording artist currently working on my debut EP. I've been making music since I was 10. So for 12 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I would describe my own personal style as R&B with Pop, Neo-Soul, and Hip-Hop influences.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Beyonce. Because I think she is brilliant when it comes to music in general.

Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Singing/Songwriting
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring creativity, soul, and structure. I like to listen to the instruments in a song to see how I can use every element to help tell the story.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When creating vocal melodies I usually go into the booth, press record, and just sing. Then I play it back and take out parts that I don't like. Rinse and repeat. When it comes to lyrics. After I've gotten the vocal melody or at least enough to start writing I turn the music off and write. Then I arrange the lyrics with the vocal melody.

A: I am very inspired by artist like Beyonce, Frank Ocean, Michael Jackson, Usher, Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown
