Charly is a sound engineer, artistic director and producer. In 2018, he graduated as a music producer. Trained and graduated at Abbey Road studios, this allowed him to work in prestigious studios and artists. Thanks to his multiple caps, Charly has participated in many musical projects in France like London.

Charly Degut is a sound engineer, record producer, composer who has worked with a wide range of clients. From top artists, to the smallest independent bands.

In addition to his work with artists from major labels, he has a mixing and production room where he works with independent artists and develops projects under his direction. Charly works in a wide variety of genres. He knows how to learn from the artists he receives, and knows how to take the direction of the mixing that best suits the project. He will accompany and advise you on your project.

  1. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  2. A: Sia... the production she offers us is incredible. She has an uncommon vocal range. The rendering is just breathtaking.

  3. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  4. A: Use your ears and take the direction you want to reach, without going through unnecessary roads.

  5. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  6. A: Pop, Electro, Indie, Rock

  8. A: Adapting a master according to its style

  9. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  10. A: space, movement, dynamism

  11. Q: What's your typical work process?

  12. A: First of all, I will discuss with my client, in order to know his desires, and the directions he wishes to take.... Then I will propose him a mix the most adapted.

  13. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  14. A: It all depends on my project. I work either in an analog Studio around a SSL 9000 XL console, a TAD listening and a multitude of peripherals (Manley, API, Lexicon, Eventide, URei ...), or in Digital Studio around an Avid S6, a BW listener and a multitude of peripherals (Neve, Trident, Studer, MCI, Bricasti, Tubetech, Chandler ...). For mastering, around PMC listening and processing (UAD, Antelope, TC Electronic, Dangerous Music, Pandulum, SPL ...).

  18. A: The mixing surely ... always accompanied by a touch of humor, a good time, and a professional work.
