A: John Mayer, Chris Stapleton, Norah Jones, Fiona Apple, SAYGRACE, H.E.R., Max Martin
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Right now, I'm currently recording my debut album! Can't wait to share it with you all soon! :)
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: "Tell Me" - Smiles Only ft. Amanda Jean (Available on all music streaming platforms!) I was the singer/topliner for this track. I love the upbeat vibe of the track and the heartfelt melody... One of my favourite projects I've worked on!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love writing songs & creating melodies that evoke emotion in the listener. Songwriters, artists, musicians & producers have a special way of capturing certain feelings & perspectives that we don't always know how to share. To be able to turn all of that into something truly universal & relatable for the listener is the most rewarding feeling I get from my work.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have over 15 years of professional experience in the music industry as a songwriter & recording artist. I grew up in a musical household, so I've been playing piano, writing songs, and singing since I was 5 years old.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Which PRO (Performing Rights Organization) are you affiliated with and what is your IPI #? I ask this because I prefer to work with music industry professionals who are familiar with royalty splits. This allows us to receive payment if our song is placed in Film/TV, games, or gets radio play.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Indie Pop, EDM, R&B, Country, Blues, Alternative,Contemporary, and Hip Hop hooks.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Genuine, mellow, heartfelt, bluesy, slightly husky/moody.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Professional songwriting, high quality vocal stems, and a reliable work ethic.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I specialize in toplines - I write lyrics and vocal melodies, and I also provide quality vocal stems (mixed and/or dry) for producers to work with.
