Mix Engineer and Session Drummer
Hi! I'm Callum Little and I own the Glasgow-based recording studio "Little Studios". I am also the current drummer of the Pop-Rock band False Friends.
At Little Studios I offer recording, mixing and session drumming services. Therefore, through SoundBetter I can offer online mixing and session drumming services for your tracks. I have been recording my own music since the early 2010s, and have been a professional drummer for the last 5 years.
Generally I am more geared towards Pop, Rock, and Hard Rock. However, I am always keen to work on projects outwith these genres. Please check out my demos and don't hesitate to get in touch!

Interview with Callum Little
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: For mixing projects it starts with me talking to the client about their goals for the track, specifically what sort of sound they are aiming for. I then create my best interpretation of that and feed it back to the clients for notes on areas that I can modify that will take us closer to achieving their vision for the track. For session drumming projects, I follow a similar process. I communicate with the client and identify whether they have any ideas in mind that they would like me to perform, whether I have free reign to workshop different ideas, or potentially a mix of both . Once I have a recording that I am happy with, I will send it to the client for feedback, allowing them to come back with notes on how I can enhance my performance to match their ideal take.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a studio space in Glasgow, where I am able to complete full recording and mixing projects. It's got a tight sound, and I have collected essential equipment to help me capture the best drum sounds that I can get.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: On the music recording, mixing, and production side of things, some of my top inspirations would be Chris Lord-Alge, Sylvia Massy, Rick Rubin, and Andrew Scheps. For drumming, I'd say my top inspirations are John Bonham, Jeff Porcaro, Vinnie Paul, Dave Ghrol, and Max and Jay Weinberg.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: My main focus has been on mixing songs and session drumming (both live and in the studio).
