I'm a session/gigging drummer with over 10 years experience from Reading, UK. I've recently shifted to remote recording and have acquired a steady stream of fulfilled customers. I really enjoy getting a track and taking the time to really think about what would be the perfect addition to make the song better.

Tim was fantastic to work with, nailed the 2 tracks ( one more uptempo rock the other a softer pop track )
in super quick time ! and very reasonably priced. Thanks Tim look forward to working with you again soon. Tim has worked with me on several pop-rock tracks in both a studio and live setting. The three words I would use to describe Tim are professional, attentive and honest. All of this is delivered with a central ethos of good humour and compassion for his clients. His precision and skill mean you can rely on Tim to provide a skilful rhythm for any record. I would absolutely recommend him.
Interview with Tim Williamson
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What genre would you place the track in? Are there any prominent influences? Have you already got a drum part in mind? What's the songs BPM? Any other notes for me before I get started?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: It's ok if you don't have a drum part in mind, we can discuss what feel you're going for and come up with something together! All I need from you to get started is the WAV/MP3 and BPM.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Bass drum, Snare, Hi-hat, Over head and a kickmic! Could keep me entertained for years.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: A mix between standard rock and groove based songs.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My ability to highlight they key elements of a song through my playing.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: First and foremost I am consistent in timing and feel, I put that above all else. I make sure that the quality of my playing is felt throughout the track. Making those heads nod and bodies move is key!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: There are so many drummers and musicians that have inspired me over the years. Drummers specifically would include Benny Greb, Larnell Lewis, Forrest Rice and many others. The kind of players when they play on a track you can tell who it is from their playing.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most commonly I do quick turn around of recording to a clients track and sending it off either same day or next day. If the client also requires mixing I take more time to make sure I can blend the drum track into their track.
