Skimal Studio is a collaborative project that focuses on music production for up-and-coming artists. We are a small enterprise that has developed skills during the last 4-5 years and that has produced, mixed and mastered several music singles and albums.
Our offer is to be part of the creative process (if needed) and or production of whatever the artist needs. If songwriting is needed, we can provide that kind of help. If what is only needed is production, mixing and mastering; we can do that too.
We exepect nothing less than a fully collaborative process where the artist has complete control over what he or she needs and wants. Our objective is to supply the tools and support for every single and album, so that they reach their maximum potential.
What we lack in material we make up for in heart and dedication. We believe that a 100k € studio isn't necessary to make great music. Almost anything can be achieved with heart and a good idea. We believe that we can make your ideas bloom into something you will be proud of

Interview with Skimal Studio
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: The production of Dunes. This is the biggest single we have done up to now and it has been recieved very positevely by Spotify artists. It now amasses more than 250k views and is still the hit single of the band Iglú.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Intuition is key. There is nothing mire important. If you are going to let somebody unknown help you make something as important as "your" music, make sure you feel totally comfortable with this person. A good realtionship is the most important thing in this creative process.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: MIDI piano, Electric Guitar, Microphone, iMac and Scarlett.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Our style is a mixture of indie, indie-pop and synth-pop. It is heavily influenced by bands such as Coldplay, the 1975 and Tame Impala. Dancy, groovy and fresh would be some of the qualities we would describe our music with.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: There are many artists that inspire our work. On one hand, artists that release and create incredible music like the 1975, Coldplay or Ferran Palau (catalan songwriter). But we also admire artists that have a say in their production process. Artists like Roosevelt, Daniel Sabater or el Petit de ca l'Eril.

Iglú, the band from Barcelona, has released the first single for their album "IO". The song, "Supernova", features a dancy and groovy style that brings the band closer to the Indie-Pop scene. The single is available the 13th of November on every platform.
