You play and record...I mix. It's as simple as that. I don't mind where you do it or how, it's all about the performance, passion and craftsmenship. Working with artists/bands who are passionate about what they do is the biggest thrill. I love this job! I'm also a total music nerd, so share your inspiration with me and let's get to work!
Mixing Engineer Alexander Jackson began his 11 year career at Melbourne's SingSing Recording Studios. Moving to London he found himself in the employ of Mark Angelo Recording Studios as their In-House Assistant Engineer and later at Konk Recording Studios. Coupling this to an association with Mutronics and Audio Kitchen Guitar Amplifiers and Alexander was in his element.
Over this time Alexander would have the good fortune to work along side UK music royalty including Ray Davis, Yusif Islam (aka Cat Stevens), Chris de Burgh and Georgie Fame along with many others who would pass through the studio doors.
On his return to Melbourne, Alexander founded Vintage Physics - Audio Engineering and has been recording and mixing ever since, focusing on Metal, Pop, IDM, Rock and Nu Jazz/Soul.
Whilst primarily a mixing engineer for music, Alexander also enjoys working as an Audio Director and Audio Post Editor/Mixer for television. When he want some fresh air Alexander hits the road with the Triple J Live Music Team recording bands such as Parkway Drive, Birds Of Tokyo, Odessa, Jake Bugg and Disclosure, among others.

Alexander Jackson is a fantastic mixing engineer, and an absolute gentleman to deal with. I had him mix my song 'Monolith' by my band Sikarra, and it came out incredibly well balanced and clear sounding. Alex provides an exceptional service at a great price, and is very quick to reply to any of your inquiries!
Alex provided mix down and mastering services for my EP. Beyond his expert ear, his patience, listening skills, deliberate approach and enthusiasm for the project were a real asset. Alex understood the sound I wanted and improvised an unusual hardware chain that really set the right vibe.
