VISA P on SoundBetter

I am a veteran Artist & Songwriter on the rise!! Totally fresh & unique style, I make all my music from scratch. Lyrics, melodies, flows, raps, arrangement, I can do it all. Major focus has been on songwriting hits for other vocalists, all genres. My expertise is in tropical vibes, Kizomba, Dancehall, Afro Beats, R&B, Zouk, Rap, Hip-Hop.

I have been making high quality music for just over a decade now. Always professional & top of the line in everything I do. I've built up a solid fan base over the years for my Kizomba music. I've used that platform to network with many amazing producers, artists, singers, engineers, directors, etc. Relationships matter. Now over the years I have transitioned into a full time Songwriter for several artists in Boston/New England and globally. I am constantly recording new Kizomba demos, some which I keep and release as part of my own catalog. The majority of the rest get sold to various clients Worldwide via my business manager. I connect all clients with the beat maker to negotiate the production price. The client either comes to the studio where I record my own music, or they send in their vocals for final mixing/mastering. I sell my songwriting services, consulting and features/hooks for other artists/singers/rappers. Contact myself or manager for all rates!

Interview with VISA P

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: Constant new music for myself and all my clients.

  3. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  4. A: A great sounding song that will help drive up your streaming numbers. Possibly radio/club HIT.

  5. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  6. A: Everything. This is my life.

  7. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  8. A: None. All business is clear.

  9. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  10. A: How much of a budget do you have for this project? And what is your goal with the song?

  11. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  12. A: Over 10 years+ I am a veteran.

  13. Q: How would you describe your style?

  14. A: Hip-Hop inspired, but mostly Kizomba dance vibes. Romantic, sexy, & edgy.

  15. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  16. A: Any of the popular 90s/2000s R&B singers such as MYA, Christina Millian, Monica, Ashanti, etc.

  17. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  18. A: Spend good money on production, own all your rights, get expensive mixing and mastering. The quality really matters and can set you apart from the rest of the home studio crowd.

  19. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  20. A: KIZOMBA. Also Rap, R&B, Dancehall, Zouk, anything tropical or Hip-Hop related is my passion.

  21. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  22. A: Writing. I've never had writer's block. Constant ideas & creativity. My pride is writing full songs (mostly Kizomba) for strong female vocalists.

  23. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  24. A: All the SAUCE. The ideas, concepts, all lyrics, bridges, melodies, harmonies, come from myself. I work extremely fast and so does my engineer. I can lay down song references for the singer in 5 minutes, hit all the notes and make it sound smooth before they even lay down their own vocals. Basically the client sings karaoke over my track, then the engineer just mutes most of my vocals, and mixes the rest..

  25. Q: What's your typical work process?

  26. A: Relax and write music naturally. Once it feels perfect, book a studio session. I work at a rapid fire pace, I'm constantly recording new demos for myself and others.

  27. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  28. A: Some basic equipment at home for self recorded song references, but mainly record music with a professional engineer locally that does all the mixing and mastering.

  29. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  30. A: Great live singers, self made independent artists, multi-talented people that make all of their music from scratch, smart business minded people.

  31. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  32. A: Songwriting, arrangement, hooks and also features from me as well.
