Aubrey Swander on SoundBetter

Multidisciplinary artist based in LA. Versatile and authentic vocals with an affinity for unique melodies and world building harmonies.

I'm a vocalist, songwriter, sync writer, topliner, and bgv arranger with years of experience performing both in front of the mic and geeking out behind the computer. I thoroughly enjoy stepping outside of the box and discovering new ways to make sound. I'm a singer-songwriter and instrumentalist in the indie pop duo MOMS. Our latest single, 'Shake the Ground' was written and recorded for the original motion picture documentary, 'Second Assault'. My newest release as a co-producer and vocalist is an indie folk record, 'The Prophet: Volume 1' inspired by the prose poetry writings from Kahlil Gibran's 'The Prophet'.

emotive and intimate lead vocals, sensitivity to sing inside of multiple genres, improvisation, multipart harmonies, creating soundscapes/layers with vocals, ability to recreate specific parts, desire to deliver a unique performance, a love for play

Professional recordings created at my home studio based in Los Angeles, CA.

  4. Review by Dan Diaz

Aubrey has a beautiful, emotive voice and is a joy to work with. I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with her on several different projects and don’t think she’s capable of delivering a performance that doesn’t feel completely honest and authentic. Highly recommended.

Aubrey is that rare artist who brings her entire self to every project she works on, no matter how big or small. Her voice is pure magic, and she has an incredible gift for hearing and building unique harmonies and vocal textures. In addition to her musical talents, she approaches each project with a sense of play, patience, and exploration, and isn't afraid to try things multiple ways in order to find that unique sound or approach that takes the track to the next level. I feel fortunate to have worked with Aubrey on multiple projects, and can't wait to continue collaborating in the future!

I’m a producer who has been lucky to work with Aubrey many times on sessions and co-writes in person and over Zoom. She has quickly become a go-to vocalist for me because her voice is incredible + versatile, she comes up with great hooks, harmonies + ideas, and she is super proficient with her gear and in her daw (I never have to worry about receiving files in the wrong format, normalized or with any unwanted processing). Working with and mixing Aubrey is a total JOY! Hire her yesterday!!
